Door Texture with Greek Text in Pathologic Classic HD
There's a door texture in Pathologic Classic HD with Greek text which for me, a Greek, managed to feel the most otherworldy element in a game full of weirdness.
Judging from the text it's basically a typically-graffiti-all-over wooden door from a highschool in Aigina (Greek Island).
Anyone who has spent an unhealthy amount of hours playing Classic already knows where that is - my question is...does anyone know the reason for this totally out of place texture. The devs are Kazakhs and/or Russians as far as I know.
I'm probably reading too much into it, but some lore fiends among you might know sth about it other that "it's just a random texture bro" :)

I remember someone brining this up. Also one of the vent textures uses a company logo. It was talked about on the archived IPL forums.
I’m guessing the texture was chosen before they had a good idea on what the time period would be (the 2004 build used a plastic bottle to represent the water item, a lot of the characters wear modern clothing, and the train looks newer than it should).
2 and 3 have a much more cohesive art nouveau turn of the century look.
Don’t know why it’s Greek

Between this and the surprise Greek in Pathologic 3, Greek players must be having a weird time playing these games.

The simplest explanation would be, cyrillic to greek is like english to latin.
Im sure there are probably kazakh people in the team, but I mostly know of russians. Many studios went to Kazakhstan to base their operation after certain events.
And before all that happened, maybe some of them visited Greece and took a photo of graffiti. Thats my guess
