PC-9801T model w

Bought it on mercari auction happy it came with a perfect condition clean keyboard not sunburnt not yellow at all.

It boots on basic86 2.0 but doesn't get to the prompt so gotta work on that.

Damn this looks sick and retro asf. Especially the monochrome screen

Also my 9821v20 has arrived so gonna post it now

I got two of those, waiting for them to arrive (in a few months). Both dead, of course :-D

U mean it doesn't power on at all?

Am I lucky it boots?

Yeah! In my case, I got both on the assumption that they are completely dead, but you never know. If you bought a junk, and it turned out to be working, then you're absolutely lucky. On the other hand, if you bought it at full price for a tested, working, demonstrable working machine, then it is what it is :-D

In my case, both are dead:

I got a 9801T model W5, very well beaten up, but looks like it has some interesting expansions cards/SASI HDD. This is a monochromatic screen probably like yours.

The second is a very well taken care of 9801T model F5, with a colour active matrix screen. One of the photos shows several indicator lights being on. Who knows.

I'm looking forward to receiving them, but it's going to take a loooong time to arrive here in my country, as they are coming via "surface" (read boat).

So yeah, you're quite lucky. Have it recapped sooner rather than later, and replace the polariser on the LCD screen!

Thanks bruh. It takes 1 day for these to get delivered in my case.

I kind of started to like this burnt in screen though, it looks like it came from one of those survival kind of movies u know wat im sayin, like it reminds me of gravity falls for some reason.

Man it sure is fun talking about pc98 cuz none of the people around me knows one
