Video Danish Youtuber Playing RDR2 at 4FPS daily

A Danish youtuber has been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 at 4 FPS every day.

He said that the first missions took him over 12 hours to complete.

His PC is a laptop with an i5-8300H and a 1050ti with 4gb.

Dude is the most patient human being on the planet.

An older person can't play at 27fps?

More like an older person is more likely to have experienced 60+, making it more difficult (but not impossible) to come back.

Yeah, that makes sense. However, if 30fps are rock solid, that's perfectly fine for me.

actually this is false.

normally 24 fps is defined as the lower limit for a smooth picture.

but as you get older your eye refresh rate decreases.

once you are above 30 years old, even 15 fps will look smooth.

The fps threshold lowers as you get older.

I meant young as a "I-still-don't-know-better" + "I'm-just-happy-to-be-playing" synonim. That was me and couldn't care less for fps back then.

And it continues to be the best mindset, right?

Nowadays I wouldn't play something like a first person shooter at under 75fps, and I grew up playing GoldenEye that turned into a slide show every time you blew something up lol

Even if it's single player?

Yes, when you get older the mitochondrial cells inside your eyes start to desync with the iris and then every few frames gets kinda skipped by the brain. Having a steady 60fps helps so that there's always a frame for your eye to see.

But don't bother going over 60Hz, humans can't see faster than that.

Edit. Forgot the /s (also just a bad at jokes)

Nah, you're not bad at jokes. People are bad at getting jokes.

You can even tell the difference between 144hz and 240. You just need to get used to one of them first.

After using 144hz for a decade, anything lower than 100 just feels wrong.
