Discussion Should developers stop making games that require 5090 for max settings now that the card is clearly not for gamers and is accessible to 0.1% of community?

I get that the games need better hardware to dun better, but who are they really making the game for if you need a 6000$ GPU at this point

I mean, a lot of people do have 5080s and 5090s that can run those settings.

This is no different to when in the past games had settings that even the highest end GPUs couldn't run. Crisis comes to mind

Also, this game lists "NATIVE" requirements...no upscaling taken into account. Most people do not expect games to be able to run with RT at native 4K in 60FPS, even on a 5090

And this other thing.

With DLSS Quality you basically have the same fidelity as native with nearly double the FPS. So this is no biggie. But the CPU requirements are a bit crazy.

You keep thinking that and you’ll keep getting unoptimized slop

It's just how the world works, savings are never passed on to the consumer but instead used to increase profit. Companies were always going to absorb the performance boost from upscalers to make their own lives easier instead of giving you free performance. I don't like it either but it's the system we live in.
