bluepoint is an external studio that would make the remeastered version but after myiazaki saw how they "butchered" the demon souls remastered he refuses to let them touch his other masterpieces.
i just tried to link a source and my comment was deleted for rule 3. There is about it a post in the demon souls sub. The primary source is a guy called "Nathan the hater" or so. i dont know how trustworthy that is but its accepted by a big part of the community.
Significant downgrades in both the visual presentation as well as music. I can't imagine anyone who has played both feeling otherwise unless they have a faulty memory.
I've played both and the original does have better atmosphere in certain section but saying "significant downgrades" is madness. Many sections are better than the original.
Yeah I played the OG Demon Souls back in the day, it had a lot of issues and the graphics weren't it's strongest suit. People are judging the remake of how they think they remember the original game.
Miyazaki has no say in this lmao… sony owns the rights exclusively. Bluepoint pitched it to Sony and Sony refused bc they were pushing bluepoint to work and be focused fully on some garbage live-service game instead.
Your argument is not at all stronger than mine lmao.
Btw yeah such a relationship, thats why Miyazaki did make a new „bloodborne” game just with a different name (as Sony own the IP) and for nintendo 🤣
Sony still owns a piece of From Software, so yeah, I do think their relationship is in a good spot if they let From Software do what they want? It's also a PvPvE game closer to a battle royale than Bloodborne. So it's really not the same thing.
With that bloodborne or darksouls game are all pvpve games lol. Also owning a piece doesnt give right to control and tell what the company can do so you are not even aware how business work lol
