Just got this tat today dedicated to my mom and dad. Every time I time I hear this song I think of the hardships our family faced the past few years, especially my dad. He battled cancer for 8 years passing away in July. Given to Fly reminds of resilience and that things can always turn around.

Yeah? The allegory of “The Christ” figure plays pretty heavily in the lyrics. Seems like a natural celebratory line. Hits great live!
