My car flashes up with this engine fault light on startup. The service light comes on and stays on but the engine management light doesn't stay on.

It's stuck in limp mode and won't go above 25mph.

My cheap ODB scanner doesn't throw out and codes so I took it to a garage today and their scanner also didn't find any codes. When they checked the engine over my oil was sludgey and they said that was the issue.

I've ran an engine flush through and changed the oil today, but the issue persists.

I'm going to change the auxiliary belt tomorrow but if that doesn't sort it then I'm at a loss! Any ideas?

Money is super tight, I have £25 to my name right now and need the car for work. I'll do my brakes once I can afford the discs 😬

I'm having an intermittent immobilizer issue with my Peugeot 207 HDi, with the message "Electronic Anti-Theft Fault" appearing on the dashboard.

The car refuses to start, even though the starter motor cranks the engine normally. Sometimes, after several hours, it suddenly starts again without any intervention.

I'm posting here because I'm honestly completely stuck with this car and running out of ideas...

I've performed several diagnostic checks using my OBD diagnostic tool, and here are the results.

1. Battery and Starting System

• Battery voltage at rest: 12.7 V
• Battery voltage with ignition ON: 12.45 V
• Battery voltage while cranking: 10.25 V
• Engine cranking speed: 225 RPM

2. BSI Diagnostics

• Fault code: 04BA – Electronic Immobilizer Fault 1
• Key transponder recognized: YES
• BSI paired with engine ECU: YES
• Engine ECU locked (according to BSI): NO
• Key presence detected: NO
• Encrypted data sent to engine ECU: NO
• Anti-scanning mode: INACTIVE
• Number of programmed keys: 2

3. Engine ECU Diagnostics (EDC16C3)

• ECU status: LOCKED
• Immobilizer pairing: PAIRED
• Unlock code transmission: WAITING FOR RESPONSE FROM BSI

The ECU remains locked even after attempting to start the engine.

The only engine fault code detected is P1351 (glow plug/preheating circuit fault).

4. Tests Already Performed

• Tried both keys: same issue.
• Both key transponders are recognized by the BSI.
• The "Key Presence" parameter always remains set to NO.
• No key-in-ignition warning beep when opening the driver's door.
• The headlights-on warning beep works normally.

Hello, I’m about to order a e-3008 long range and have read that the charging curve could be better. But all reports are about the “small version” with 77KWh battery. Is it the same with the 98KWh battery and/or have there been any updates for the curve by Peugeot?

So I bought this Peugeot 308 for cheap today but it has a few problems. The lane keep assist don’t work, when u start it you get some abs warning that quickly goes away. However my main problem is that the station and nav seem to work fine but I don’t get any sound out of the speakers. I checked the relays but they was all fine so maybe the amp? If anyone has answers or ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

The I-Cockpit on my Peugeot e208 2022, stopped working. The display has three options: Dials, Navigation, and Minimal.

But suddenly, the left thumbwheel button on the steering wheel stopped working, and now the display is stuck in Navigation. Has anyone else had the same problem and managed to solve it? Thank you.

Ciqoa. Tutti ho notato che la mia auto una peugeot 308 del 2018 atrivata a temperatura se viene tirata un po in wutostrada ( almeno in questo caso cosi e successo) sputa praticamente acqua dalla vaschetta del tergicristalli perche lo fa?

Dalla foto si nota che sputa acqua da quel buchino e sotto e tutto bagnato.

I have Peugeot 3008 1.6L 2025 model and on a full tank I can get 330 km of range in city driving is that normal ? Because the fuel efficiency advertised on it when I bought it was 14.1 km per liter so it’s supposed to give me a range of 700km so I’m a bit confused I only bought it a 2 months.
Like is it my driving that’s the problem because I don’t drive recklessly.
Or maybe it’s something in the settings?

The check engine light on my 306 suddenly appeared although I do not notice any difference in the engine sounds/ how it runs. I wanted to read the codes but because this is a pre 1997 306 there is no OBD port. I have found multiple cables in my engine bay which could be the DLC port but none in the exact location/colour as I can find online.

Picture 1 is where it should be (according to an online source)

Picture 2 and 3 are some cables I suspect could be the DLC connections. None of these 3 are plugged into anything and are just plugged by a rubber cap. The blue one is the only one of these 3 that actually has 2 pins inside so it is my only guess right now.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

The car has a function to hold the brake for like 1 sec after the brake is released. I get that it's for preventing the car rolling backwards when starting in slope, but I find it mostly annoying. So my question is that if it would be possible to have that function disabled though reprogramming?
