🏆LEAGUE TABLE🏆

Three more thrilling matches yesterday, so let’s look at how that’s affected the league standings!

Maharlika do extend their lead at the top, but are now firmly within striking distance of second place Manila Digger. Kaya and Stallion’s draw keeps them in the same position.

Cebu picked up their first points of the season with a big win against Tuloy, and move up to 7th, with Tuloy and Mendiola dropping beneath the Gentle Giants.

PFL FT: Kaya 1-1 Stallion Laguna

Post image

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Kaya were pegged back by a late equaliser from a tenacious Stallion Laguna side that held on to earn an important point.

Kaya took the lead early with a superb strike from Antoine Ortega, who whipped it into the bottom corner with a fine hit.

In a game that was frequently characterised by impressive defending, both teams found it challenging to bypass the others’ backline, and chances were few and far between.

Stallion grabbed a late equaliser when Jvon Cunningham tapped it home from close range after excellent work down the left wing.

Kaya seemingly surged back into attack, but continued to struggle to get clear chances, instead frequently finding their paths blocked by a fine Stallion back line that looked miles ahead of last week versus Tuloy.

A break by former Stallion man Kevin Ebene Moukouta was stopped when Charles Pickering brought him down, earning a tactical red card late on, but Stallion held on for a vital point.

PFL FT: Tuloy 0-6 Dynamic Herb Cebu

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Dynamic Herb Cebu picked up their first win and first goals of the season with a 6-0 demolition of Tuloy.

This game was touted as a possible upset, with Cebu winless in two and Tuloy having impressed in their recent narrow losses to Aguilas and Stallion Laguna. However Cebu came out the blocks quickly and dominated the opening exchanges.

Timothy Shiraoka made a couple of good stops as Tuloy tested from range, but it was then all Cebu, with the Gentle Giants taking the lead through an unfortunate own goal by Aguila after good work by captain Murakami.

Cebu will be delighted with their attacking output, as 5 different players popped up on the scoresheet, Aboosah and Ibrahim scoring headers in the first half before Ramos and Uzoka smashed home from long range and Imaizumi turned the ball into the net following a flowing move.

A terrific win for Cebu, whilst it’s back to the drawing board for Tuloy.

PFL FT: Maharlika 2-2 Aguilas UMak

Post image

⚽️FULL TIME⚽️

Aguilas UMak and Maharlika played out a highly entertaining draw in front of a passionate crowd as the sides shared the points in a 2-2 thriller.

Both sides were combative from the off, with the passion on full display in what was billed as a battle of Koreans in the PFL. Current Aguilas top scorer Ryuta Iwai scored an acrobatic goal from a well executed set piece to give Aguilas a lead into half time.

Maharlika came into the second half swinging, and got a deserved equaliser when Mike Menzi got a toe to Paolo Bugas’ whipped ball in. It then got better for Coach Moon’s side when Eun-soo Park finished off a superb flowing move with a hard drive into the top corner to give Maharlika the lead.

It wasn’t to last though, as Amita weaved through Maharlika’s defence to set up Jun-Young Park to keep the scores level. Despite plenty of chances falling to both sides, neither team was able to break the deadlock and this ended a terrific, entertaining draw.

Got these from Migerlu after randomly searching for football jerseys. For someone as cheap as me, these seem nice for the price. Has anyone bought multiple products from them before? How was it? and how do you maintain them? Planning on building out this wearable collection.

Open Play / Club Anyone interested in forming a team / open play sessions?

I don’t feel like joining those open plays anymore since i’m introvert and the people there are already friends, they just pass to each other.

I want to form a team to play with regularly so we can be friends and will be able to play better as a team.

Anyone interested?

Discussion Pansin nyo ba

At being nasa eksena for quite some time, ang daming ganitong coaches.

Eh kayo ba, kaya nyo bang mag take ng magandang picture?

Basta matandang licensed coach, may pattern eh. I can name more than 10 names ng licensed coaches na ganito, mga sikat pa yan, nasa PFL pa iba. Pag yabangan wala kayong laban jan.

HAHAHAHA IMAGINE COACH KAYO KAILANGAN PA TO SABIHIN?!

Di ba tinuturo sa certification yan? Hahahaha!

Open Play / Club Complete beginner (27M) wanting to try football open play. Advice?

Hi everyone! I’m a new football fan. I got hooked during the World Cup and have been watching ever since. I’m curious about the game, so I’m always googling things I don’t understand, and I think I know most of the rules by now.

I’ve never actually played football, though. I played basketball before, but I’m not very athletic, and I’m also an introvert. I’ve seen the open play posts here for BGC and I’d like to try one. I want to manage my expectations first, so I’d really appreciate your thoughts and experiences as a total beginner.

Some questions:

  • Who to talk to?
  • What steps should I take before attending my first open play?
  • Are there more beginner-friendly schedules or clubs that suit my age?
  • What should I expect?
  • What should I bring?
  • Any dos and don’ts?

Anything will help. Thank you!
