Discussion Online tournament profitability vs live

Question for the online tourney grinders are yall profitable? Ik with live hendonmob it’s kinda a scam cause most people are down. However with online lot of cheaper buy in tournaments with great gtds and more sattys, any profiting consistently?

Do people really think live tournament grinders claim to profit what their HendonMob cashes are?

No, but some people that know nothing about poker might think that if they see someone's hendonmob profile.

I play mostly online tourneys with $10-50 buy ins and I net profit about $1K per month consistently.

Those are good results. I’d say you are a top tourney player. Even the top marketed named pros are not that profitable.

i'm profitable but a lot of it comes down to the volume, low buy in, and low rake that online tournaments offer over live. the competition is probably way harder. but if you only have a $1k bankroll for example your risk of ruin is almost non-existent sticking to online tournaments if you use extremely conservative bankroll management. $1k should easily cover thousands of buy-ins at the absolute lowest stakes compared to only hundreds of buy-ins playing online cash or only a handful of buy-ins at live cash or in live tournaments.

Cash games are better than tournaments, unless you're doing sattys trying to win big
