Poland has expressed its “deep outrage” and demanded action from Israel after Israeli settlers attacked a diplomatic convoy carrying Polish officials in the occupied West Bank and assaulted a visiting French mayor.

Maybe let's start calling them (accurately) terrorists instead of settlers

I agree. "Settlers" doesn't seem like the right name for armed groups of marauding savages.

Yup. It's like calling german occupiers in WW2 Poland "settlers"

That's exactly what the Germans called themselves at the time btw

It’s very obvious the Zionists in occupied Palestine are acting like the true SS from WW2 in occupied Europe. This is why Europe needs to punish Israel more for their war crimes against Palestinians and its neighbours

There will be historic elections in Palestine in 2027. Originally they were planned in November 2026 but few days ago they was just moved to 11 september 2027 by Palestine president. For the first since 2006 palestinians will literally vote for their future. There are three main parties:

  • FATAH: This party was created by Yasser Arafat. It recognized Israel in 1993, for which Yasser Arafat received the Nobel Peace Prize together with the prime minister of Israel. The party is supported by the UN, EU, USA, Israel, and Arab states like the UAE. There is a silent agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel that if this party wins, the Saudis will recognize the existence of Israel.
  • HAMAS: This party wants to destroy Israel and kill all Jews worldwide. The party won the last elections in 2006 and is supported by Russia and Iran.
  • PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine): This party also wants to destroy Israel. It is a communist party that believes in Marxist-Leninist ideas. It is supported only by Russia

Nobody knows who will win. But this will define Palestinian future

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas postponed the first Palestinian legislative elections in 20 years - previously scheduled for 28 November - to 11 September 2027 with the presidential election set for the same time. It was the second time in five years Abbas had delayed Palestinian elections.

So it looks like Palestinians will choose both the president and parliament on the same day. This will be crazy. Previous presidential elections were in 2005

Can you explain more about why the election was moved by almost a full year, so shortly before the scheduled date, and what is the reason they have not been done for 20 years

I was surprised too. I expected the elections to be held next month, but the Palestinian president postponed them last week. This is not the first time he has delayed an election. He was elected for a 5-year term... 21 years ago. It’s a success that he finally agreed to a give up power so I suppose a 1-year delay is not a big deal. This will also allow to clean up Gaza that is completely destroyed, You can watch how Gaza looks today on video below (Ask Project)

But the new date, September 11th is crazy. They could have chosen any date and they picked September 11th.

------

But if you want a story about 2005... there was a real drama. In 2005, Palestinians elected Mahmoud Abbas from Fatah as president. Everyone expected that one year later palestinians would also choose Fatah for parliament. But instead they chose Hamas. This was a big problem for the UN, EU, US and of course Israel

So the western world decided that aid for Palestine would still go to Fatah even though they lost the elections. As a result Hamas won but had no money. Later there was a civil war between Hamas and Fatah. Hamas won in Gaza but Fatah kept control of the West Bank.

Gaza was changed by Hamas to miliary zone with straight religious rules (no rights for woman). West Bank lead by Fatah was more people friendly (but with huge corruption). But generally live in West Bank was easier than in Gaza. For the next 20 years there were no elections because Abbas and Fatah feared that Hamas would win again

If you want learn more there is a canadian YouTuber "Ask Project" who has spent years talking with palestinians and israelis. People from the internet send in questions and he asks them to people on the street. Some of the answers from both the palestinian and israelis are mind-blowing

This guy goes even to destroyed Gaza to ask questions there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R85kR9DgH78

You know what’s wild to me, Putin and Netenyahu are buddies, Russia has been selling Israel oil and stolen Ukrainian grain for ages now, they were caught again in Haifa port a few months back with a ship full of stolen Ukrainian grain being sold to Israel.

It was noted in the 90s that oligarchs from Russia and the Russian mafioso didn’t just make their way into the west after the collapse of the USSR they went to Israel too, so there’s heavy Russian influence in the Israeli elite specifically the ethnonationalist department.

Surely Netenyahu has to be in on the scheme to some extent to stay in power and not get jail time.

95% of Knesejm members is bending their knees before them, so don't expect anything beyond "deep outrage".
