Polish PM Tusk: Everyone was aware that, with this shift in President Trump's position on Ukraine and Russia, Europe should support Ukraine even more. Many countries realize that if Ukraine falls, we will all have very, very serious problems. 17 Oct 2026

Trump doesn't care about the price of diesel after the midterms. This is a ruse purely before then. And he has an ace up his sleeve: He can tell the rural idiots that prices would have been lower for their diesel if it wasn't for Zelensky striking Russian refineries. There you go, redirected blame away from himself and part of his supporters will eat that up.

Nie zdziwię się, jak zadecyduje o opuszczeniu baz na bliskim wschodzie, aby te środki przeznaczyć na zbicie cen ropy.

American ruling caste, represented by the red-blue uniparty, does not represent or care about the interests of US citizens. It's ridiculous to assume society at such a stage of cultural, social, institutional and moral degeneration would be a reliable long-term partner in dealing with problems where the foundation of cooperation is appealing to conscience and decency. People who are being elected there are interested in their own power and daylight robberies in white gloves.
For the past 20+ years, the US has been working hard on destroying and destabilising a lot of places in the world, most of them in close vicinity of Europe, which has resulted in a relentless stream of migrants, causing massive, long-term problems for the EU and especially a few states in western Europe. Now they're at a stage of sheltering and doing deals with a genocidal regime that's murdering people every single day, destroying its neighbouring country and undermining Europe as a whole, and has been for more than a decade. Alongside the usual American pastimes- supporting genocide in Palestine, attacking Iranian civilians (directly, and encouraging them to rebel against the government without providing any support, which amounts to sending them to certain death).
The fact that they're still being treated as a strategic partner is insane, when in reality, outside of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, they've been the main source of the problems for us. Instead of buying these dogshit, useless F-35s, maybe it's more reasonable to negotiate buying warheads from France or Pakistan.
All that noise around hosting a handful of soldiers on rotation in a permanent base or two, on the backdrop of what they're doing, is pathetic.

If only that one country could stop fucking the world and have its tentacles in everything, we'd all be better off

It's worth to sacrifice ukraine so that rest europe have peace.
europe will not support ukraine forever, people in europe are tired already of work, bills keep getting higher but salaries stagnate
it's basic logic, if lion attacks a group of people in the bush, one man needs to sacrificed to save others
we help ukraine for 4 years and ukraine doesn't exchange that, ukraine hasn't shipped cheap energy or oil to europe at all, europe's help is one way, and shouldn't be
Trump thinks logically, help should be transactional, not free

Poland already shares a border with Belarus, so saying that if Russia overtakes Ukraine (which they won’t) they can easily attack Poland doesn’t make sense.
the quite part which he is not saying aloud is the refugee crisis which will include millions of young people who will enter Poland if Kviy falls.

Doubling the border isn't a big deal? Taking over Ukrainian industrial capacity isn't a big deal? Forcing Ukrainians to be conscipted against their will to fight Poland isn't a big deal?

Poland also shares a border with russia, but if Ukraine falls ( an it very much may ) we will share one more longer border with russia and remaining Ukrainians will be forced into russian service adding to our problems.
Saying that "we already have one problem so why not cause a thousand more, there's no difference" is a take so stupid it requires genuine brain damage.

Is it a crisis tho? Lots of hardworking people entering the country that is on a somewhat sad spiral when it comes to natality...

Jeśli sie tak stanie jak mówi lewak to wszystkie lewackie świnie będą nas bronić przed brzydkim ruskim okupantem. Zobaczymy

Not much we can do about it from Poland. I'd like to see us and the resto of Europe stop supporting Israel and decoupling from US as much as possible is a part of that. Why the whataboutism ?

Ukrainians are already tired of fighting, and the Germans don’t want to; it’s time to call up the Poles to defend Europe in Ukraine - both men and women.

Firstly, Europe needs to stop being dependent on the USA.
It was probably a shock for many how easily authoritarianism can take hold, but it happened. And now it's really about time to wake up.
