> further sharp decline in the man and Trump resigning or being 25th'd within 2027.

Mitch McConnell would like a word. There is no way Rs would allow that no matter how bad it gets.

I think Dems taking Congress and Trump further declining will be a dangerous time in America. But one the country has no choice but to go through.

Agree. Folks don't take into account that after 6 years DJT has learned he can do anything he wants to, illegal or not, because it takes 9 - 12 months for lawsuits to resolve to "no, you can't do that"

And he's fine with batting .500. He'll just turn around and tweak here and there and keep doing it.

Our only hope in this country is for DJT to have a stroke, otherwise he'll be totally unhinged. Nice work MAGA . . .

as if he is AT ALL concerned by any legislation that doesn't put his name on something he doesn't deserve. GOP is dead. Texans voted for KEN PAXTON as their GOP candidate for senate. They are soulless ghouls

They'll do it so Vance can get 2.5 terms. 10 years of president Vance.

I just threw up in my mouth.

He absolutely would let Trump fail. All McConnell cares about is the GOP. The only way this couldn’t happen is if the guy paid to correct his “incorrect” voting isn’t paying attention.

There is no world where trump willingly steps down or conservatives 25th him.

That might be the only way Vance becomes President, and there is a Vance faction in the White House.

Words to live by. A man needs a code.

McConnell doesn’t care about much anymore. He just seems to drool. It’s sad actually

Somehow, it seems fitting for him, but also a travesty, because this mess is largely his own doing. But he'll never face or know real accountability for it at this point.

There will be something like 32 or 33 Republican senators who won't be up for reelection until after 2028. So no chance of Trump pulling a Paxton on them. In an impeachment trial Democrats would need roughly half of them to vote for removal.

I don't hold out much hope, but it probably would be the best thing for the Republican party. It would give JD Vance roughly a year as President, and if it appeared that he brought some sanity to the office his odds would likely be much better in 2028.

I suppose the Republicans might allow it to happen if they think it could be used for them to justify removing every single Democratic President in the future.

But that seems unlikely.

I don't think Mitch McConnell can talk anymore.

And isn't it odd how nobody's talking about him anymore either?
