WTF is Rubio doing, this is suppose to be his job?

•

u/128-NotePolyVA 7h ago

He’s working with the Secretary of WAR on invading Cuba.

•

u/Vegetable-Seaweed591 7h ago

Sadly, this. They're trying to cause a humanitarian emergency in Cuba so they can swoop in and install a puppet government.

•

u/P1xelHunter78 Michigan 6h ago

Trump wants a golf course and resort in Cuba, doesn’t he? All the descendants of former casino and plantation owners in South Florida are going to be really flummoxed when they show back up and their land that Castro took has a Trump sign on it’s

•

u/Vegetable-Seaweed591 5h ago

This. I've heard talk that a lot of Floridian exiles expect to return to Cuba someday and be richly rewarded with all of their old wealth plus restitution. Basically winning the lottery.

If true, the idea Trump is the person who would share that wealth with them is wild.

•

u/P1xelHunter78 Michigan 4h ago

Or any of the Republican Party. They’re not gonna give the Cuban diaspora anything. They’ll say: “thanks for your votes all those years suckers! Would you like to work at my new sugar cane plantation or my new casino?”. What an effective pipe dream for all those years though. You’ve got to hand it to the GOP how they can string people along.

•

u/GrumpyCloud93 2h ago

If Cuba becomes a democracy, do you really think someone who's lived in a house for 65 years will turn it over to someone who has lived high off the hog in Miami for that time? Or worse, their son or grandson? Aftwer all the USA has done to cubans over the last 65 years (and especially the last year) how do you think they will receive anyone from Miami claiming to be Cuban? I don't foresee a joyous "Welcome home!".

•

u/TheQuidditchHaderach 6h ago

¡Viva la revolucíon! 😆

•

u/nacho-daddy-420 6h ago

Starting with the control of Venezuelan oil, which Cuba relies on

•

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 5h ago

There’s already been plenty of humanitarian emergencies for that to happen. Just this year alone, the entire island has lost power multiple times for extended periods. In this day and age, that’s as good of a humanitarian emergency excuse as any

•

u/Vegetable-Seaweed591 5h ago

To clarify, I meant one on a scale that it effectively ends their current government - hence then being able to install a puppet government.

•

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 4h ago

The US invaded Venezuela for less

•

u/cobrachickenwing 2h ago

Which was what got Bautista kicked out in the first place. The next time Cuba won't hesitate to keep nuclear weapons after what they saw with North Korea.

•

u/Acceptable-Bus-2017 I voted 7h ago

SS ecretary of WAR* ffty

•

u/wentImmediate 13m ago

Rubio was visible during the early days of the Iran War, then he seemed to have disappeared, showing up very infrequently. This is odd given his desire to run for president.

•

u/128-NotePolyVA 11m ago

Distancing himself from fubar?

•

u/Belichick12 7h ago

Viceroy of Venezuela

•

u/bagelundercouch 5h ago

And soon to be president of Cuba

•

u/Sarrdonicus 4h ago

Emperador Pequeño Marco de Cuba. President needs elections.

•

u/baconcheeseburgarian California 6h ago

Remember this shit when he says he's ready to be President.

•

u/Wildpony03 5h ago

Good luck with that, the Venezuela raid is going to be hard to defend in debates especially with the America first crowd.

•

u/pacific-bandito 5h ago

No they liked that one because of American might

•

u/TheQuidditchHaderach 6h ago

Cuck-In-Chief

•

u/wheatgivesmeshits Texas 7h ago

He's very busy doing nothing and hoping he can make it out of this administration and still have a political career afterwards. He should look at how that worked out for Mike Pence.

•

u/TheQuidditchHaderach 6h ago

At least he escaped the noose.

•

u/wheatgivesmeshits Texas 5h ago

So far. If the coup is completed successfuly they will likely be executing "traitors."

•

u/TheQuidditchHaderach 5h ago

Seriously! Ever thought we'd get here?! There were a lotta unknowns in 2020, but now faced as a lame duck with the (hopefully) uphill climb of a third term attempt he'll be a trapped animal backed into a corner. Nothing will ever be the same again.

•

u/Aggravating_Bat3618 5h ago

He is doing his job.

Being Trump’s bitch is a full-time gig  comes with a lot of responsibles

•

u/Strawbuddy 4h ago

It comes with some clown shoes as well, Rubio may still be struggling to break them in

•

u/Mustard_Gap Norway 7h ago

He's in Uzbekistan doing some stuff and such.

•

u/TheQuidditchHaderach 6h ago

Such as the Iraq?

•

u/DoomSongOnRepeat 6h ago

Just going off of his media appearances over the last ~6 months...

Cocaine

•

u/LiluLay North Carolina 5h ago

He’s busy clomping around in shoes too big and watching any semblance of respect anyone ever had for him evaporate slowly like morning mist.

•

u/Exciting-Record8101 Europe 2h ago

You seem to be misunderstanding the new roles here.

Rubio = diplomacy on behalf of the United States, and who needs that?

Kushner and Witkoff = the Trump family bribe squad.

•

u/LegDayDE 6h ago

Sitting the cuck chair.... Insert "Marco Rubio sofa meme" here:

•

u/rrrrrivers 4h ago

Lines

•

u/GrumpyCloud93 2h ago

He's busy supposedly administering the billions in Venezuelan oil money, and the Quatari bank account it's going into, and who gets commisions and discounts when selling Venezuelan oil. And he's busy hiding the audits of these acounts.

•

u/Sad-Froyo-3198 1h ago

He's trying to get another war started before the midterms while he still can.

•

u/Rookie_Day 49m ago

It’s divided. Rubio works 70% for TrumpOrg, 28% for himself and 2% for America and Jared works 50/50 for himself and for the TrumpOrg.

•

u/Uglyyellowfrog 3h ago

Rubio can brown nose all he wants, but at the end he's still just another gentile.

•

u/Exact_Platypus5179 7h ago

He isn’t playing diplomat, he is participating in the smash and grab kleptocracy that defines Predator Trumps entire persona. Don’t call him a diplomat. Nothing to do with diplomacy, all money and advancing a foreign government’s priorities

54

u/DoctorBocker 8h ago

Even JFK hired his brother, but at least he went through a confirmation hearing

•

u/Acceptable-Bus-2017 I voted 7h ago

Notice the people getting high government positions without confirmation hearings.. Kushner, fElon, and last time, Don Jr, and Ivanka. Trump is enriching his family and his oligarch friends without any oversight.

•

u/Interesting_Berry439 6h ago

And the Republicans accept this with full cooperation .This creates precedent whether the Republicans like it or not.

•

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 5h ago

Unfortunately that new precedent doesn’t matter when dems always play by the rules, even to their own detriment

This is why the US struggles to recover from Republican-led governments when dems retake power every now and then, the dems are unwilling to do what’s necessary to achieve lasting change, even if what’s necessary is legally grey

•

u/Interesting_Berry439 4h ago

Kushner and Witkoff were in Miami negotiating with Ukrainians for a peace deal when the news of Trump's diesel deal with Putin was announced. I 100% believe the timing was intentional to send a message to Zelensky. This administration is with Russia, not Ukrainian.

PS the ship was only two days from arriving when the deal was announced.

•

u/mollila 5h ago

PS the ship was only two days from arriving when the deal was announced.

So when did it leave port?

•

u/Acceptable-Bus-2017 I voted 5h ago

4 days after Lindsey's bill was signed

•

u/Guilty-Giraffe-1142 2h ago

Trump has been with Russia/Putin since before 2016. I have a theory that he only married Melania because single men don't get elected president here, so he thought it would be fun to stick it to America by marrying a vapid, humorless sexpot with broken English and a face made of angry Russian angles and slits. Trump has always been about Russia.

The only problem is that Republicans don't want a constitutional Republic, they want a divine king and a ruling class that use the prosperity bible as rule of law.

•

u/supertoned 5m ago

They aren't that deep.

They just want permission to publicly hate whoever conservative media tells them is to blame for their problems.

Grifter-in-law

•

u/lookn4knks10 7h ago

When you depose him, ask for every business transaction from 2020 to yesterday and source of funds and parties to it. He’s sold access for personal financial gain starting with 666 5th avenue to Russian Diesel deal. Someone related to his business is making $$$ on everything we do.

Look at all the bets on oil and the market since Iran war started. It’s time to show the paper trail

•

u/Acceptable-Bus-2017 I voted 7h ago

Follow the fucking money already! Jesus christ all they have to do is have one judge ask and not accept no for an answer.

•

u/bagelundercouch 4h ago

Dude and his daddy-in-law likely have a full-time cleanup crew focused on cooking/burning the books, intimidating witnesses, and literally rewriting history, and on the way out, Trump will be handing out pardons like Halloween candy. They made a fortune even before coming to the White House by stealing and cheating, they know what they’re doing. The MAGA folks are right in that, in this at least, Trump and his cronies are playing 4D chess.

•

u/OttersWithPens 6h ago

That’s how you think the world works? Everyone and their families are safe, just ask someone and it all ends?

•

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 4h ago

“I don’t recall”

“I don’t recall”

“I don’t recall”

x1000

And then Congress proceeds to not do anything after the fact, not because they refuse to for once, but because they actually can’t. He’s not an actual official in the Trump admin, so he can’t be impeached. What he’s been doing is straight up illegal, which is outside of Congress’s power (they don’t enforce laws)

All this to say even in a sane administration, there is no benefit to Congress deposing here. This is purely a justice dept issue where they would arrest him

•

u/lookn4knks10 4h ago

There is a thing called a subpoena. Issue it. And when Trump leaves. They can prosecute him. If he is pardoned. Then a state can prosecute him.

•

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 4h ago

States can’t prosecute federal crimes. Acting as an unregistered foreign agent is a federal crime

•

u/lookn4knks10 4h ago

Some crimes are also state crimes.

•

u/phlred 6h ago

Do people go to jail for being unregistered foreign agents

•

u/thehalfwit Nevada 5h ago

Yes. In 2024, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D) was convicted under the FARA act and was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Note that that happened under Biden's DOJ. Trump's DOJ would just give Jared an "Attaboy!".

•

u/thebhguy9900 5h ago

Or a Presidential Medal to go with his pardon?

•

u/thehalfwit Nevada 5h ago

My bad. I didn't think that needed to be said.

•

u/pacific-bandito 5h ago

Yes! Hunter and Biden were so corrupt! Remember when bidens son got 2B from the saudis? Remember when Biden launched his crypto currency so people could purchase official actions from the president? Remember when Biden let musk steal all our personal data ? Remember when Biden lifted sanctions on Russia and bought their diesel while Russia helped Iran kill Americans! More Trump please he’s so good!

•

u/guttanzer 6h ago

I’ll be satisfied when he is doing hard time. Press on!

•

u/thebhguy9900 5h ago

All of them, not just him.

•

u/MC_Hify California 5h ago

The Logan Act makes this illegal, if that matters anymore.

•

u/Fair-Craft8059 7h ago

sure but the GOP congress will just let him do whatever he wants.

•

u/128-NotePolyVA 7h ago

Obvious. What took them so long?

•

u/KazTheMerc 7h ago

Little late, my dudes.

•

u/dancing_around_it 6h ago

Agreed - most ineffective Congress / Senate in history! Virtually the whole body refuses to do their job and roll over for the president and his Project 2025 puppet masters.

•

u/Mangalorien 6h ago

If somebody wrote a fictional book where the President of the United States had his son in law work behind the scenes to make tons of money, few people would believe it and most people would stop reading the book, since it would be deemed too unrealistic. Yet here we are.

•

u/mrarming 5h ago

He's not doing anything "diplomatic" he's the bag man collecting the $$$'s for the Trump family

•

u/SunbornThunderstorm 5h ago

And this is exactly why Jeffries had a meeting with him. Kushner literally acting as an agent of the president. But people pretended that he isn’t.

•

u/UltravioletAfterglow 4h ago

Kushner is absolutely not a diplomat, and his primary objective is not peace. He’s a self-interested POS like every other member of Trump’s family and administration.

•

u/SkinnedIt Canada 7h ago

I wish you luck.

You're so rotten to the core you're going to need it.

•

u/kyew 7h ago

I thought he was out. Am I under a rock or has he been flying way further under the radar than he used to?

•

u/phixitup 7h ago

WTF, it took 2 F-ing years to find your balls and do your job? I’m sooo proud of you for doing the job you swore an oath to do, at least 2 F-ing years ago.

•

u/Bizarrebazaars 5h ago

But what about Hunter Biden??? /s

•

u/BashfulRain 5h ago

His role isn’t to negotiate
It is to make sure no progress is made

•

u/sphinxsley 4h ago

Kushner is in clear violation of the Logan Act.

•

u/External-Example-292 4h ago

Ye why are a lot of his appointed people not even really qualified for their roles...

•

u/Guilty-Giraffe-1142 2h ago

They're under-qualified because they're under-educated. Under-educated people are easier to corrupt and manipulate. Those are the people he likes.

•

u/captaincanada84 Canada 4h ago

It is insane that it took this long

•

u/cobrachickenwing 2h ago

And its not like a Saudi backed diplomacy was even working well. What at disaster the middle east is now with the Saudis in charge.

•

u/robotoisize Canada 1h ago

Suing. Demanding. Asking. They don't follow the rule of law, so good luck with all that demanding.

•

u/Werftflammen 6h ago

The emoluments clause is double edged. It seperates your personal business from your politics. It's personal now. I don't know how they think they'll survive this.

•

u/Wildpony03 3h ago

The clause also makes it easier to prosecutor them after this is all over.

•

u/thebhguy9900 5h ago

They survived an assassination attempt on their own VP too.  It's weak, slow "let's move on" Dems, corrupt judges they installed throughout the Courts system, and a rubber stamp at the SC if it gets that far.

•

u/Brnhtwn 7h ago

I haven't seen the over and under numbers at Kalshi yet, on the total amount of POTUS pardons that will be generated by this administration, till it's last days in office. Congress is supposed to enact tariffs also, another power they have abdicated to stay elected

•

u/naththegrath10 6h ago

Really another lawsuit? At this point these amount to just another strongly worded letter

•

u/SunbornThunderstorm 5h ago

Interesting that so many people trot out “strongly worded letter” as a means to make people check out

•

u/FBS351 7h ago

But he settled the whole Middle East situation once and for all during Trump's first term, don't you remember?

•

u/Realistic-Pudding341 7h ago

Kushner should be in a "The Omen" remake. Pure evil POS.

•

u/Aggravating-Smell953 6h ago

Maybe Bhing a slumlord qualifies him

it's just some guy who is best friends with BIBI dictating critically important foreign policy for the US.
The billionaire/oligarchs truly rule over everyone now.

•

u/Maoleficent 1h ago

Only 7 years too late - we let a foreign agent who could not pass a security clearance in the first Felon's administration and now the unelected, unvetted pin-eyed suit of greed and pustulance is runnng about changing the world order to his convenience. Parasite.

We have waited too long to start the revolution.

•

u/ultrachrome 1h ago

Kushner is making decisions that affect everything from our safety and position on the world stage to the price of gas and groceries at home. This power, whether or not he has a formal title or receives a government salary, makes him subject to the Appointments Clause and the Ethics in Government Act.

I can just imagine the deals he's making behind closed doors.

•

u/marfacza 1h ago

He fixed Israel real good.

•

u/ElSlabraton 36m ago

Now do Stephen Miller.

•

u/HelpUs0ut 11m ago

He's already working with Hakeem fucking Jefferies so I don't think Jared has anything to worry about.

The power was promised to him 5,000 years ago
