Prepping for Tuesday Urban/Suburban pFAK
I have a small pouch I carry in my backpack that just has first aid stuff for mundane, every day kinda boo boos and needs:
•band aids •sm gauze pads •med tape •tegaderm •neosporin •alcohol prep wipes •anti-sting/itch wipes •tums •ibuprofen •generic Benadryl •Bayer •Gas-X
Adding small roll of gauze, small shears and tweezers.
Bought these little pouches because I wanted to leave one in each car as well.
Initially impression was that they were too slim but they fit everything pretty well. Just need to see how they’ll handle the rest of it when it comes in.
Anything else might add?
Again, not a comprehensive kit by any means for something to bring out into the wilderness. Just stuff that might be needed for every day urban / suburban situations.
(Wanted to post pics but it seems it’s not allowed?)

Imodium.

Absolutely essential if you could ever find yourself making a prolonged foot movement, or find yourself unable to move because of diarrhea.
It’s worth noting as well, Imodium should be used either when fluid loss is a concern, or having to stopped would be an issue. Otherwise, let nature do its work…

Snakestaff systems ETQ
Gloves (2 pairs)
Compressed z-fold gauze
Hemostatic Gauze
Turn your boo-boo comfort kit into an actual stop-the-bleed kit. The rest of your kit is great and I’d keep it. These items are super packable and slim as well to go with what you have.

Thanks for the advice!
Stuff like that I want to put into a larger, more comprehensive kit/ trauma kit. But I’ll definitely look into it!

Glad to see you recommending Snakestaff systems instead of just “tourniquet”! I’m very much concerned about people buying cheapo tourniquets that will break on first use. Good job!

I have sensitive eyes, so I always bring a sterile single use vial of saline that can be used to flush eyes (or noses, or other scrapes).
Something to sanitize hands.
I also carry antiseptic wipes…after my kid scraped up his knee really badly and I had to endure his screams as I cleaned it with the alcohol prep pad I had.

Nitrile gloves just in case you have to come in contact with other people’s bodily fluids.
