How to mod to play burned cd

Hello! I've been wanting to play ps2 for the past 3 years but all the good game are expensive as hell. I wanted to keep the nostalgic feeling of opening the cases inserting the disc and playing it. I was wondering if there is a way to mod my ps2 in a way that I can burn and play games separately.

I will buy everything needed so please could you tell me:

- the best ps2 model to buy and mod for that purpose;

- what type of mod would do;

- if there is a link to a YouTube tutorial I would be gratefull!

If it's a PS2 CD based game, mechapwn will do the job. It's a softmod to override one of the chips on the PS2 to unlock it.

This doesn't work with burned PS2 DVD games without jumping through some hoops, so if you want a seamless experience might be easier to just mod chip it.

MODBO5.0 V1.9 is the main chip nowadays. Sometimes available on Amazon or eBay. Most console repair places would be able to fit it.

Kauf der ne ps2 gibt es auch schon mit einem eingebauten Chip . Ansonsten Kauf dir ne PS 2 fat und ein modbo Chip und wenn du ganz cool bist hol dir noch ein Netzwerkadapter und ne 2 tb große Festplatte und dann mach free HD Boot drauf den kannst du alle Spiele von der Internfestplatte booten

Just patch your images with esr and self boot (for slims)

Or patch with esr and run via esr loader

I bought a ps2 slim 77004 a few months ago and for a few days I played verbatim azo dvd's burned using freedvdboot which should be used just to load FMCB or other modding programs and not be used for playing burned games (from what I heard I might be wrong) and it went just fine. It will take more effort from the laser tho to play burned dvd's. I actually got burnout revenge on DVD like the actual game from Sony but it's stuck in France and can't change it to english. Now I'm french too.

Freemcboot. And then use ESR Patcher to patch the iso. Burn slow and low and it'll play.
