I’m planning to buy a brand-new PS5 and wanted to know which firmware version the latest units are shipping with.

If anyone has recently bought a new PS5, please share:

The PS5 model number (CFI-xxxx).

The firmware version it came with out of the box.

I’m particularly interested in knowing whether recently manufactured units are still coming with older firmware versions.

Warranty card

Any other papers

Also, anything I should physically inspect before taking it home (seal, box condition, etc.)?

Also, from your experience, what settings, habits, or accessories have actually helped keep the P5 running well long-term? Anything you wish you had started from day one?

So friend works in sony and i asked him caually what will be the employee discount for ps5. He said the following.

PS5 Standard E Chassis ARV: 61K

PS5 Digital E Chassis ARV: 56.7K

He also mentioned that, prices are going to to get upto 70k. Is that true?
I am aligned to buy PS5 Standard E Chassis ARV: 61K , i hope thats the CD not digital. I had xbox digital. But I dont want digital any more.
