Discussion PSG vs BARCA will be amazing. We will finally get the game we have been waiting for the past 2 years.

As a Barca fan, I want the best Barca lineup vs the best PSG lineup, no injuries, no resting players because it is just a league game, I want the best XI of each team.

PSG were amazing vs City and Barca dismantled Galatasaray away. Barca started in better form the season, PSG always grow in the bigger games and have been the best team past 2 seasons.

People might argue we go the game last season, but I am expecting only 5 players per team, that started last season to start this game (Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, Gerard Martin, Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Hakimi, Pacho, Méndez, Vitinha, Ruiz).

This will be absolute Cinema

Werent barça fans already saying that last year ?

I have no clue how the game will turn out but people should really just learn to wait.

Plus, victory, draw or defeat wont change much for both teams as it is just a group stage game.

I do agree that the result doesn't matter as it is just a league game, but it will be a good football game to watch, possibly the best in the past years. Also, both teams are being criticised a lot (Barca for destroying other teams but just playing mediocre teams and PSG for not starting well this season), this shows who is the best team today (not the favorite, but the best).

playing against mediocre teams doesnt mean anything, 43 goals in 10 games, best start to a season for barcelona ever, raphinha most g/a in 1 month equaled with messi. Now obviously psg is much better than the others, but with stats like this, the opponent is irrelevant

not raphinha its lamine

Raphinha equaled a record, mightve been laliga only, or goals only.

with the quality on both sides (admittedly a bit more across the field in psg’s case) and lesser stakes involved there’s still a possibility of a great game. like if both those attacks and midfields play without any worries in their minds, it could be an exhibition of best possible football we can possibly have on display

These two could meet again in the final. A win here would be a big psycological edge.

true. but i think psg aren’t really concerned about what happens in group stages. last season bayern beat them in group stage remember. and in general last 2 seasons they just flipped a switch in jan

Most team fans will wish and say that their team will beat the other team, point here is last year Barca compared to PSG was weaker, this year Barca seems neck to neck in terms of talent so it will be a game to watch because both play offensive style with high pressing, this is the point which is highlighted here, doesn’t matter who wins or loses, it’s going to be one the best games in UCL this year

Remember the game will probably be (SOMEWHAT) meaningless. It’s 3 points win or loss at worse or best.
Both teams will make the next round in top 8 or top 16 worse.
PSG ended top 16 both of last seasons, we know the rest.
Liverpool 1st, we know the rest.

What matters is to deliver in the KO stage.

Look up PSG-Arsenal 2024-2025 season

Arsenal beat PSG in the league phase but got KO by the same PSG in the semis.

The victory will be more important for Barca, as PSG has gotten the better of them in recent confrontations.
Also they still haven’t digested the Messi, Neymar, Dembele transfers and Henrique coaching us for 2 UCL titles.

Ici c’est Paris ❤️👍🏻

We play Betis, PSG, Madrid in 1 week.

PSG its the less important Game by far, cause if we win both League games, we Will open the gap with Madrid to atleast 9 points.

I would love to see a PSG vs Barcelona at full capacity, but on kos, this is just Deluxe friendly, cause both of US Will access to Next round.

1

u/AgronTora Edinson Cavani 1d ago

Psg plays mancity, strasbourg and barca in a week too.

2

u/Eastern_Spirit_404 Not a PSG fan 1d ago

But PSG can just rest during League and Focus on ucl, for us its the opposite.

1

u/bolivarbundao Not a PSG fan 17h ago

el Barça puede descansar todo su equipo 30 partidos por año en la liga pero no elige hacerlo. El PSG es mejor que el barça en estrategia y gestión del plantel (entre otras cosas)

Add the Ferran transfer. Whoever gets transferred they will have beef.

Classic Culer mindset.

More injuoreis for Raphinha please

3

u/Serterler 1d ago

I forgot Ferran, you are right

Now it hurts?

Continue speculating that PSG can't have UCL if they don't play for Ligue 1.

It’s not really about being transferred. It’s the way they leave. Ferran got cocky after the World Cup and started acting like he was crucial to Barca and that Barca had to prove to him they wanted him. I personally had absolutely nothing against dembele I thought leaving was the right choice for him, but then he celebrated his goal against us like he just scored in the ucl final. Also, id be scared of raphinha too if I were you

Calling it now, we will lose to Barca in group stage and then eliminate them in semis

12

u/SnooDoodles3909 Not a PSG fan 2d ago

As a barca fan i feel like we might be prioritizing el clasico and therefore lose this one too

2

u/thames987 Not a PSG fan 2d ago

as a barca fan myself… i don’t think even if flick thinks so the players would have that mindset for this game. they are hungry. both sides tbh. there’s a lot of ego here about being the best individually. probably 4 of the 5 best midfielders (not including cams, pedri rodri vitinha neves rice are my top 5) would be playing, 5 of top 10 attackers too (psg front 3, yamal, raphinha) cubarsi pacho also can be considered a matchup.

the lower stakes will make those matchups become the centerpiece potentially. psg while still taking a calm start in the league have been very active for the cl games this year and barca are in a better state (barring any injuries if they come up before this game) than last year at this time.

As a fan of neither clubs you might be underestimating how adjustable PSG is in the UCL. Y’all are liable to beat any and every club

1

u/Itchy_Finish_2103 Luis Enrique 1d ago

I know, but I'm referring to the fact that for the past two years we lost to a team in group stage that we then beat in the semis (Arsenal in 24/25, and Bayern in 25/26)

-4

u/Broklast Not a PSG fan 2d ago

Since I am in a psg I will got a lot of hate but I am sorry bro your team is getting eaten and won't be close

9

u/Itchy_Finish_2103 Luis Enrique 2d ago

All good bro, I can understand Barca fans being confident this time around and wanting to take us down. I have no doubt your attack will give us a tough time, but let's see how your defense holds up

1

u/Pure_Cancer05 Not a PSG fan 11h ago

Gonna be a great game, and I feel like it’ll come down to chance conversion in the end.

-5

u/Broklast Not a PSG fan 2d ago

Our defense is gonna crumble but our weapon is ferran Torres with his special abilities

3

u/yoyoyayawey Not a PSG fan 1d ago

Still can't move on from Ferran. Typical loser Culer

2

u/PervNeji Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 2d ago

Is Enrique is Smart, he won't put Ferran even near the stadium in this match.

1

u/GecaZ Not a PSG fan 2d ago

Ferran Torres is Barca's secret weapon this match. He will be a double agent and miss the big chances

10

u/Mr-Wild-takes Not a PSG fan 2d ago

Ferran and Dembele scoring will be the most entertaining stuff from this game 😌

9

u/virtualhub2005 Neymar 2d ago

o god, its a group stage game and people are talking about it like its champions league final

3

Because football fans will be eating good this match. Best attacking teams in the world who don't car eabout defending.

1

u/yoyoyayawey Not a PSG fan 1d ago

Are you sure PSG does not care about defending? Your Cubarsi will HODL as he carries the whole back.

4

I also want both teams at their best fighting for 3 points. We are both arguably the best teams in the world right now. Win or lose this game is going to be absolute cinema I can’t fucking wait

Hope we don't get any injuries.

3

u/Minimum_Pay1 Qui contrôle le terrain? Matuidi. 1d ago

Is Raphinha supposed to be fit for the game?
He really, really, scares me.
Against Lamine you have the best LB itw who’s also amazing defensively, and has one of the best CBs itw to back him up. Whereas for Raphinha you have Hakimi who isn’t there to defend for half the fucking game and has Marqui (who I love to bits don’t get me wrong) to back him up, which obviously isn’t the same thing.

2

u/yoyoyayawey Not a PSG fan 1d ago

Gordon is LW, not Raphinha

1

u/Minimum_Pay1 Qui contrôle le terrain? Matuidi. 1d ago

Not much better

2

u/Internal_Gur4262 Not a PSG fan 1d ago

lamine is getting better every year and usually shows up in the decisive matches, he is the one who scares me the most

1

u/bolivarbundao Not a PSG fan 17h ago

Spain Portugal was a decisive match and Mendes completely shut down Yamal

1

u/Pure_Cancer05 Not a PSG fan 11h ago

Raphinha does not play on the left anymore. He’s a center forward, and has been operating as an in the box #9 really

2

The irony of that 2nd picture got a chuckle out of me.

I'm pretty sure that Barca is a bit overrated. Sure they are good, but Real Madrid is really bad, and they didn't prove against a top-team yet for me.

Last year they lost vs both their pot 1 (Chelsea and us), won vs Newcastle (good for them), and lost vs Atletico.

2 years ago they won significally vs Bayern (who has improved a lot las season), but then yeah, nothing spectacular.

And the classicos, but again, Real Madrid seems very poor (it could be Barca being very good as well).

I don't say they are bad though, but for me they are in the second tier (after Bayern, Arsenal and us), with Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Inter, Atletico and "UCL" - Real)

As Barça fan, last year was the weaker from Hansi System, we got injuries on key players like Raphinha, Pedri and Yamal and we couldnt press properly in the whole year which lead opponents to easily transitions against us, so we conceded a lot of goals.

Also during the time we faced uu guys, we were on the worst form of the season and also Lost el clásico, imagine, Madrid beat us.

I dont think our peak last year were on the level of PSG, you were for sure the better team, but was sad to dont be able to see that match at 100% of both.

This year we r on the BEST level probably since Flick Arrived, signings has been key and improved the team, now we can press with full team, and had quality subs.

But, this Game it's just between 2 key League games for us (Betis Who r really strong right now and Madrid) which r key for us to win, while we can handle a loss at Paris.

So I would love to see both teams 100%, but still by far the least important Game of the 3, so maybe u can Hope some rotations on key players.

2 years ago Barca was pretty damn spectacular. Domestic treble and semis in the champions league that they were among the favorites to win. Lack of experience cost them that tie. Last year they were poor, not enough squad depth and intensity in the biggest of games. But people aren’t rating Barca on their last two seasons, they’re rating them on their recent form. They are by FAR the best looking team so far this season, their stats are ridiculous and they haven’t lost or tied a single game. Their defense is still shit however so we will see
