Amazing collage of genres mixed together on this album, all the way from psychedelic pop / rock to country to jazz, folk.

Heyy! I'm one of the video artists behind Spiral Drive & Lord Fascinator's new track RAUM. This is the closing track to their concept album REISE. I made the animations and edited the video (including the previous video FLUG, which this is directly connected to and the one before ZUG). Ask me anything :) and thanks for watching <3

Zackary Thaks was from San Antonio. Used to see them at the Teen Canteen. Green Crystal Ties has some pretty heavy guitar work!

I think a good example of this is gish by the smashing pumpkins but I guess it's debatable if its psych rock or not

https://sgtsplatter.bandcamp.com/album/attack-of-the-fish-wizard

Sgt. Splatter kidnaps a prisoner named Clarice Rudabaga and infuses her DNA with that of a fish and a wizard, creating her alter ego THE FISH WIZARD. She then escapes the clutches of Sgt. Splatter and attempts to live a lower profile life. FBI agent Jelly Dayjam then comes out to the town of Fiction armed with her S.O.D.A. forces. Using the disguise of the goth subculture, they do not blend in and search for Clarice, investigate the attacks of some fishy culprit being reported by the local town people, and kill Sgt. Splatter. Meanwhile Clarice meets a charming gentleman named Juke DeBrief, who is great by all accounts but hates fish and wizards. She must now keep her true identity a secret if she wants to keep him while hiding from the FBI and Sgt. Splatter.

Tim Warren - the genius behind these comps and a lot more besides. This is only scratching the surface.

Back From the Grave is his greatest achievement but the other series are really good too.

Glasgow psych rockers and all-around good blokes document the making of their latest album with LA producer, Al Lover. Really great stuff and subtitles are suggested (inside joke). Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

The Nomads were from Texas City, Texas. Situations was recorded in 1968

Part 2 of my three-part series for the DC-based Tiny Vinyl Shop newsletter, on Spiritualized and Spectrum/Sonic Boom's other projects. Yes, I did leave out Darkside (I could only cover so much).

Part 1 is available below, and Part 3 is forthcoming!
