Edit: Sad no one got my drake and Josh reference at the end lol
Edit 2: To clarify this is just a friend from Discord

Obviously he’s bullshitting, but you’ll never get him to admit that and no needles will get “stuck in muscle tissue” that’s just him trying to be dramatic to get attention and sympathy

I did search it up and it is possible on RARE occasions but I dont believe the multiple needles part :/

Since he said the reason multiple needles was used was for different tests, then we can rule out that it was a shitty phlebotomist, also after 2 failed attempts they either stop or get someone more experienced. Additionally, you are completely corrected about same needle just more vials.
Furthermore, since he made no mention of failed phlebotomy attempts, then we move on to the next point which is that anything drawing blood for most tests just goes into a vein which, for the purposes of phlebotomy, are found on top of the muscles, not in them, so there is no reason why his muscles should be hurting from successful venipuncture. Intramuscular shots are injections, not blood draws.
People can get bruised or even have a nerve hit with a standard phlebotomy attempt, but that is when someone misses going for the vein, but once they hit the vein they are good.
So yea there are a lot of details that just don't add up. Him saying "it's different over here" is so silly too, as you pointed out, but also begs the question as to how he even knows what's normal to be able to declare what is different.

Get away from this person. They are an attention-seeking child trying to guilt you in to never asking them to do something outside of their comfort zone again. Of course they are lying.

Ok he's obviously lying. What do you want to hear? If the relationship is shaky already, this would push me over the edge. I dumped a guy in part for his frequent lies, though there were many reasons to end it.

He's a liar. Don't trust. I recommend not engaging further. Believe nothing he says.

you’re both idiots

How am I an idiot in his situation? Lol

u/antimarc 23d ago
he’s an idiot because he doesn’t want to go, you’re an idiot because he clearly doesn’t want to go and you’re making him go despite his wishes. you all don’t even seem like you remotely like each other.

u/DevilBun03 23d ago
I didn't make him go? I sent a frowny face and said that I wanted him to go to his appointment and get the shots he said he had needed. Then he changed his story.

u/antimarc 23d ago
you’re also - i’m going to assume - posting your conversation with him on the internet for random strangers to read without his consent. am i right?

u/DevilBun03 23d ago
Yes, but I blanked out all personal information and I'm allowed to talk to others about my experiences.

it’s just unhealthy all around. you both need to learn communication skills and boundaries and grow up and try again.

I completely forgot this sub existed and I’m upset that the first post I’ve seen in years is relationship drama that has nothing to do with this sub at all.
Like good god I can’t believe I just wasted 2 minutes of my life reading a bunch of whiny bullshit

Really hate when people post personal arguments here

This is a place to call out bs isn't it?

u/GodSpiidi 23d ago
This person you’re speaking to seems to have as much depth as a 2 year old. If you read these messages and didn’t immediately realize this guy is a lying idiot, you should really take a moment and think about that. I say this out of sincerity because if you don’t take off these blinders, you will only hurt yourself.

I did call out bs? Thats why its here?

Your post and explanation come across as “This guy isn’t making me feel good, am I right to feel this way?”. Then the screenshot is a guy behaving like a 14 year old while you give him the benefit of the doubt.
I also want to be clear I’m not trying to be rude or insult you in any way. This post and your responses come across as if you don’t have a high opinion of yourself. You deserve far better than a person like this, and considering your kind nature, I think it’s in your best interest to trust your gut. If they treat you in a way you wouldn’t treat someone else, then that person is not worth your time.

Thank you, and I wasn't trying to come off that way. It was more of me calling out BS while trying to ask others if they thought it was too because I didn't wanna ruin a friendship if he was telling the truth. But everyone agreed it was BS and I blocked him a few hours after this post on text and Discord so thats the end.

Nobody cares about personal BS between two friends, lol, that's not what this is for
