I fucking hate detoxing.
I take a completely legal delta-8 gummy to help me sleep. I wait until I am home for the day and there’s no way I’ll be going anywhere. I’ve been moving from one workplace to another every year or two and each time I have to do the little 5-6 days THC detox to pass the screen. I’m usually super cranky from frequently interrupted sleep by then. I’ve tried every sleep aid other than prescription drugs like Ambien and they just don’t work consistently. I’m a grown-ass man with a couple of master’s degrees, working in a professional field. This fucking prude of a country!

It is a weird thing. You can be a functional alcoholic and drink vodka every night but nobody knows. You can take a controlled substance like Xanax at night and nobody thinks twice about it. You consume an edible for sleep and somehow that is a problem for an employer.

Hemp threatened the paper industry and black people and native Americans used marijuana so it was easy to demonize it in the states.

Never mind being loaded on Kratom or 7oh.
To be fair, I think it’s a state mandate and the state just rolled back our THC laws to the days of old. I’m not sure the company even cares about THC+ in patients’ screens anymore.3

I have medical and there are certain jobs I still can’t apply for because of a drug screen, even though I get it legally. Basically, same situation as OP. I use it only for sleep as well. It is also annoying that you can’t travel to other states with it. I’m just too paranoid to risk it. Even though i know the odds are pretty low that I would actually get caught but if i did - yikes!! One of the states i frequently go to doesn’t even have medical and is super crazy strict with it. It’s so messed up.

While I fully agree with the sentiment and am a user of both marijuana derived THC and hemp derived products, the reason that it is still an issue is that there isn’t a test for current influence of the product.
A functional alcoholic can drink from the moment they leave work until they fall asleep and in the morning be sober and if given any sort breathalyzer or blood/urine test would confirm that. If they make a bad mistake at work they can be instantly tested to see if alcohol was a factor.
With any sort of THC, if you made that same mistake at work and were tested you would just show it’s in your system still, even if you took it weeks ago and are currently fully sober. The difficulty of knowing when and how often you use it is where the reluctancy of it comes from.

I hate that stuff too. For the sleep while off, have you tried magnesium glycinate? 400mg before bed is a lifesaver to me.

Have you done an over the counter test to see if it even registers? That doesn’t sound like enough of an amount to register. Also check to see if delta-9 is even detectible. I don’t know how that metabolizes. I’ve smoked a LOT in my life and in general never had a problem with a pee test. Some people are also fast cyclers.

Yeah, I’ve tested myself at home several times over the last few years. Delta-8 shows up as THC.

Dude just use fake piss. Or someone else's. You can use water and food coloring if it's hot enough it's just a job drug test not probation or something so you'd be fine

5 to 6 days? That's so fast for a THC analog. I'd imagine it still likes to hang around in fat cells. I just get fake urine.
