Hello! I’m a dubstep / sound system photographer starting a global hand built soundsystem documentation project.

the soundsystem from Fated that Eris Drew and Octo Octa use is really awesome, I believe it runs on batteries and stuff.

Link up with Broad Axe Soundsystem while you're in Tokyo.

If you can get over to Taiwan (linkup with Archi) Formosa Soundsystem (The first hand built in Taiwan)

Red-i Soundsystem - Manila, Philippines

Pit stop layover in India on way home? Chat to Dakta Dub / Monkey Soundsystem (Hyderabad)

If you're in asia during January get over to Subcamp Festival you'll see all the Bangkok Soundsystems come together, Gonja Hifi, Muangake etc

Absolutely wicked list.
I’m in contact with broad axe. I’m photographing goth trads back to chill in January and he uses their sound.
Also am linking up with Formosa to photograph Mia koden at the end of January. And also have reached out to subcamp, don’t think they have a lineup or dates for their 2027 fest.

India is going to be a whole separate trip in a few years.

JW Sound out of Southern Tennessee, USA. His JMOD tops have been built all around the world since he uploaded the building plans for free on his website. Great guy, brilliant engineer, really great sound system.

Check this site for reference https://www.soundsystem.world/ It's a map of some systems around the world. From what I see, it looks like it had a vibecode makeover, but it existed way before that - it's not some ai slop but a real community.
