Professional Analysis [Reddit audience data] New Quarter audience data- gender distribution, device split, age distribution etc.
Hello, everyone!
I have been VERY busy with my available data and I pulled it 3 times just to make sure the numbers are correct and I’m not somehow tanking the stock (I know that investment companies are looking at my website wink wink). Why I waited this long- Reddit has been very productive in terms of banning spam/ bot accounts and that is what actually triggered my data to be skewed in a certain direction which will also be reflected in the post.
For those who are not aware, I’m posting Reddit advertising insights, news and changes. Couple of months ago I made Reddit audience insights and because of the demand, I’m continuing the series. Here is the previous post- https://www.reddit.com/r/redditstock/comments/1vki4ed/reddit_advertisers_insights_leaking_reddit/
Before I’m starting with the numbers, I’m working on list of companies who probably are spamming/ botting Reddit. ;) I still haven’t figured exactly what I want to do with those numbers/ company names but if you have an idea- let me know (more at the bottom).
DISCLAIMER: This is not financial advice. I am not a financial advisor. Everything in this post reflects my personal analysis, opinions, calculations and interpretation of various data points and assumptions. The data used for this analysis was obtained legitimately. It was not stolen, leaked or provided to me by anyone internally at Reddit. Always do your own research before making investment decisions. I take no responsibility for any financial decisions, gains, or losses resulting from the information shared in this post.
Note: We are comparing my previous “monthly” data was actually “28 day period” while the new data is an actual “30 day period”.

Compared with previou data point, we see that the monthly user activity has been slowed down. Don't panic sell- I think this is mainly because of the summer holidays.

Audience location by region/ country. The biggest and mot noteworthy thing to consider is "Asia and Middle East". Explanation of this is actually simple- bots and new entrepreneurs. Last month alone I was receiving 2-3 LinkedIn cold outreach messages and about 5-10 connection request per week. Either Asia (India mainly) is picking up or they are

Gender split by regions. Of course whole Reddit is huge sausage fest, but Reddit recent

Age split by regions. Again- this data does not include people who's age we have no knowledge about (which is around 65% of total users).

Device split by regions. I'd say that there has been a drop a significant drop in phone usage (mainly for iphone users). Most interestingly there is significant increase in adroid usage in Asia which again might be a good indicator about bot activities.

This is probably the best news in total- while app users did drop, but they didn't drop as significantly as browser users. This might be because of 2 reasons- either more existing browser user converted to app or app users use the app more actively.

As previously mentioned- i checked multiple times and India and Pakistas were the reasons why I didn't publish this data faster. In other words- i'm very certain that both of these countries has been increasing their bot activities and this is confirmed by my personal experience of users cold-outreaching me to offer Reddit bots, data and even HIGH android web app activity.

Again with the biggest increase and drops based on each country.
In the next 3 slides are the estimated DAU of population. Note that since the last data pull, there were certain countries that were simply too small to get a read on, but hopefully we can see them back. :D

Personally this period's data show me that bots probably are the biggest threat to both AI slop on Reddit and biggest obstacle in the future - even though we'd love to blame mods and Reddit team, but they are acting in that way because of these companies/ agencies. Right now I can't really draw other conclusions besides seasonality and high bot activity/ interest. If you can see something extra- let me know.
Again- these are MY estimates and what I can see so let's wait Q3 results.
Bot finder is my personal vendetta against these agencies and companies. They are not only messing with the communities but also have gone after some of my clients (don't ever f*cking touch my clients and their reputation). There was a subreddit dedicated to calling out these companies but they got banned... so I'll probably not going to do that and I don't want to get sued so I need to be smart how or where I post these. If you have an idea who I should contact or you are someone who could go after these companies- let me know because I'd love to get their asses. If you know or are moderators for big niche communities and suspect bots- let me know, I'll might give you the names
YES, I will post the data about these bot farms.
Peace out
Ksaize
