About to ship out

I’m about four months away from deploying with a Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). Since I joined, I haven't really formed a friendship with anyone, and I’m starting to think this just isn't for me. I want to get out by claiming I’m dealing with depression and all that, but I don't know if I can get through the discharge or separation process before the deployment.

Yeah it sucks seeing everyone being able to form bonds and connections so seamlessly and for you and I it’s the hardest thing in the world, Im in the separation process because of the exact same thing, I’ve been in the navy for a year and a half and things have not gotten better. People tell me to embrace the suck but I miss having meaningful connections.
