Veterinary Care Needed Donation Request Jack has another appt in a couple hours, please help me ensure he makes it there! We are still in need of funding and his condition is worsening (TX)
I know yall may be getting tired of seeing posts for this boy but I must keep advocating for this senior sweetie!
In the past couple days, Jack has become more withdrawn, hiding, and though he wants to eat-he has obviously begun to lose weight. He did not seem initially bothered by his eye and has done well on the drops but today he is pawing at it, and just does not seem like himself as much. He does not seem as chatty but is still coming out when I call him.
Please help ensure we make it to our appointment this afternoon if you have the means to help.
The vet said Jack has Uveitis. Uveitis causes painful inflammation in the eye and you can see redness in the white parts of the eye as well as pressure build up.
This is generally a secondary issue caused by something going on in the body. Most common causes are FIV or Fel/V positive status or Bartonella. We need to get this senior kitty tested and continue his current eye regemine as well as his rechecks to monitor his eye pressure. This can potentially become life threatening if we are unable to find and treat what the cause is.
Jack is now considered a special case in our rescue, and we are hoping to continue his care. Currently, we are hoping to raise $700 for this sweet senior boy.
