I bought one 2 months ago and i honestly love it, but, i found some issues with the analogue triggers. Now im worrying about battery and other components when they get faulty, i would like to keep this handheld for a long run.

The battery life is great on mine, I beat MGS1 on 2 full charges with over 40% of battery remaining, just recently, about 7hrs of play on full brightness and full volume, WiFi on for achievements
I too got it a few months ago for 30$ on fb marketplace

Awesome!, i use it to play some psp (i genuinely don’t care about the screen ratio ahahah) and been playing god of war and persona games on it. Also been playing Sea of stars port.

Awesome! For now I can’t afford to buy the retroid pocket nova so imma stay with the retroid pocket 2s for a long time, hoping some stores sell batteries for replacement or other components. This handheld is a wonder

Same here, nova looks cool but I’m pretty happy with the 2s for now

It's the only Retroid device I own, at least until the Duo shows up. The 2S has really great hardware, and when it first came out, it punched way above it's weightclass. These days though, that old version of Android has lost a lot of compatibility, making it a pain to fully setup. I used to have Saturn working well on it, and now it doesn't work at all. You have to get hyper specific with antiquated versioning and it still might not work right - which kind of sours my impression of gaming on Android in the long term. That being said, if you just wanna play N64 or GB or SNES etc on the go, on a little nicely made doo-dad - the Retroid 2S is awesome.

It truly is! I think 2s should have Linux since it’s perfect for retro gaming, cause android can be a issue on the long run

Yeah I looked into that and apparently it isn't compatible. It'd be nice though - it's a very capable device.

I don't use it as often anymore, but I love mine! I wish they had a Nova in the same clear green 💚

i do all the time, i have a 4pro and a duo in the mail and the black 2s i have is still my #1

for a while i had a trimui brick as an EDC but within 30 days it was dead and completely unfixable so the 2s went back in the pocket.

i do get annoyed losing joystick caps, but that's the only downside. the aesthetics, the power/efficiency, the controls, the ergonomics, it's all kinda perfect for some gc and ps2 (ff xii ntsc looks and plays amazingly) but mostly dc/psp and below.
