bogi’s been a different animal since he got here, his shot selection is so much cleaner than what we saw in atlanta
i swear half the sub wanted him traded last year and now he’s our most consistent bench scorer

most consistent bench scorer? My guy he's played three preseason games. Let's chill a bit on who's the most consistent.

How could half this sub want him traded last year if he wasn't on the team?

"his shot selection is so much cleaner than what we saw in Atlanta" suggests False_Elderberry503 might have followed him over from the City of Trees.

Good point. That would make it make sense but if true, he left out some important context lol
"Half this sub" obviously implies the one he's commenting in. Maybe he'll clarify.
His forum activity shows only Rockets, Spurs and Knicks for NBA teams plus a pretty random mix of other forums lol

Could be a bot.

I don't know much about bots but why would a bot make a comment like that. Maybe it's a Bogi Bot designed by Bogi fans lol

Jabari gives me a headache. Other than him, I can't wait for the season to start.

Seemed like he just got back from Macau last night, everything was flat

u/Human_Ad2581 1d ago
Everyone just got back from Macau. Everyone other than Bogi had a bad shooting night, but he just does everything so mid that when he can't shoot too he looks horrible. Fred couldn't shoot, but he set everyone up. Amen and Sengun were dominant without shooting. Everyone else is useful separate from shooting. He does nothing else good.

He was excellent in the first two preseason games with heaps of praises falling upon him. Meanwhile, people were doomerposting about Amen Thompson, because he was rough in those. How quickly people fall out of favor...

u/Human_Ad2581 1d ago
Youre blaming me for what everyone else thinks? Was I the one doomer posting about Amen? No. Amen can do something elite even when playing poorly. Bari does nothing elite. So when he has a bad shooting night, he almost looks like he should be in the G League or, at the very least, a bench player. Actually, as I said before, he's mid at everything so when he hits below mid he's unwatchable.

It’s preseason brother. Save it for at least a quarter through the season

I know it's preseason, but he still gave me a headache. Stop shooting and pass the ball lol

What you know! Actually makes a difference having a point guard on the roster.
KD. Zero turnovers

Yup. KD shouldnt have to handle the ball. Roles exist in the NBA for a reason. There are a lot of people who can do multiple things at the same time, which is cool, but that's not everybody and it goes to show you just how and why the roles still matter. Playmaking isn't KD's role, so when he doesn't have to do it, you see him at his best.

Our go to play last season was a dribble handoff to KD at halfcourt where he immediately gets doubled.
I would rather watch FVV chuck a dozen 3's a night than force KD to run point again.

Kevin Durant barely even had to touch the ball. He just got the ball and finished it off like the scorer he was meant to be.

Why play FVV playing so much in the preseason.

u/ElChapo1515 1d ago
Probably wanted to see how his body responds to playing 30 minutes of ball. It’s been a while

Towards the end he was just getting some extra minutes sharing the backcourt with Reed

Want to get his conditioning up to nba speed after so much time off? All I can think of haha

u/TruMusic89 1d ago
Looks like having FVV is gonna be a HUGE difference maker this season. OKC had double the TOs as HOU. Without FVV we'd have had around the same amount.

Fred’s shooting is going to kill us. Sengun and amen continue to show that they are trash if they shoot up anything outside of a dunk, and Fred’s bad shooting has carried over from the season before he got hurt

Sengun played awesome today, and Amen does more for us besides shooting. The three pointers would make them dangerous as all hell, but they're good players still. It just takes them to the next level.

shootings gonna be an issue all season and esp in the playoffs
other than that, fun ass team to watch

u/Hot-Staff7982 1d ago
Coach is gonna have to be not afraid of subbing people out when they're cold from 3. Don't wanna see 1/21 in the playoffs.
2
u/BellSufficient5283 6h ago
Well we dont have a fat beard just chucking them non stop without doing anything else anymore so I dont think we see 27 again.
1
u/Hot-Staff7982 6h ago
Lmao it's cursed the team, some of our starters have a rough time on 3's. This game the starters were 1/21.

u/MFFiasco 1d ago
That's why the team gotta hang there hat on being a dominant rebounding and defensive team. Hopefully they will be just good enough on offense
0
u/DWdwDWdwDwdW11223344 1d ago
You can get by with that in the regular season, but with most of their starters not being able to shoot, they’re still going to be a quick out in the playoffs
4
u/MFFiasco 1d ago
If they are the best rebuilding team, a top 5 defense, and with FVV can be better holding onto the ball I think they'll be better than a quick out even with there flaws.
