I’m sorry but I hate it. The style is all over the place, no cohesion here between things. The wood panels. The embroidered lamps. The fake plants. The print bedding on the tufted pleather black bed.
To me this says everything thrifted/gifted but still trying to find your style. You’re probably still a young bachelor, but you look like you’re trying your best to be presentable which I really admire. Most men don’t care what their home looks like. So you probably are very meticulous with your clothing and grooming. Probably wear nice cologne and shave your pubes before dates too. I guess that you’re a hopeless romantic who hasn’t found the right person yet but has a lot to give based on the vibes.

I think you might actually be the winner 😂 I've been absolutely fucking roasted in these comments and honestly I've enjoyed every minute of it. I'm a divorced man in my mid 30s, I take care of myself, groom regularly, wear nice cologne and I'm definitely a bit of a hopeless romantic. I'm also pretty sexually liberated, so the people getting sex dungeon, brothel and Fifty Shades vibes aren't entirely off either, I do also live in a big city and have a decent job. 😂
Some of you had me dying though. Apparently I'm a gay interior designer, a lesbian, a wannabe porn director, and Howard Wolowitz from The Big Bang Theory. Somebody randomly guessed I have finger tattoos. I DO. HOW THE FUCK DID YOU KNOW THAT FROM MY BEDROOM?? 🤣
The funniest part is everyone assuming I'm trying desperately to get laid but never actually do. I'm not going to defend myself there because that just sounds like something a guy who never gets laid would do 😂 I have a past, I'm currently seeing one person.
And for everyone concerned about Mike Tyson, he's staying. I'll just find him another room.
But seriously, I appreciate the feedback. My style is definitely a little all over the place, and I'm still figuring out what works. I like what I like, even if apparently what I like is a 1980s cocaine-fueled bachelor pad. 😂

I really disagree with this comment. I grew up in the US too and I’ve never heard anyone say not to decorate with red because of crucifixion, was, or death, let alone gangs. No one thinks you’re a blood because you painted your room red… I have heard people associate it with sex, but never any of the other things you mention. Maybe it’s a regional difference, since I’m coming from the East Coast, where we’re much less religious?

I’ve worked for a 30s-40s gay couple who’s interior design in the suburbs was “yacht club, Life is good/polo shirt, old money family”.
