Apologies all! - Mod Announcement
Hey all, I do apologize. This is the first sub I've ever really been a mod for, and I did not realize that I'm not really notified of automated actions like the general reddit spam removals. So, that means there have been posts here blocked that I was not following up on and approving!
Just wanted to let you all know that now that I realize this, I'll be more diligent about checking the removed tab in order to approve your posts as appropriate!

Release Worldfold: free offline campaign prep with maps, NPC relationships and a mystery corkboard
I made Worldfold under Sidequest Software to keep a campaign’s people, places, history and loose plot threads together.
It includes maps with pins, a timeline, a relationship web, and a corkboard with string and sticky notes for tracking mysteries. There’s also campaign prep for planning sessions and keeping unfinished threads in view. It’s a tabletop preparation tool, not a video game.
It’s completely free: no account, ads, subscription or paid features. Your world saves to a folder on your computer, and the app works offline.
Download and screenshots: https://sidequestsoftware.itch.io/worldfold
Unzip the download, open Worldfold.html in desktop Chrome or Edge, and choose ‘Try the demo first’. Firefox, Safari and phones aren’t supported in this release. Back up your world folder when creating your own campaign.
Development disclosure: Worldfold was built with AI-assisted coding. It makes no AI calls and doesn’t generate your campaign for you. AI also helped prepare this post.
I’d appreciate feedback from GMs: would this fit your session prep, and what would make it easier to use at the table?

Release The Headless Horseman Rides Again! A CR 14 Undead for Your Halloween Encounters
galleryThe Headless Horseman is more than just an undead rider with a flaming pumpkin for a head. He's a vengeful spirit bound to the mortal world by an ancient curse, with his steed, armored body, and spectral jack-o'-lantern forming a single, inseparable entity.
Legends tell of a fallen soldier, executioner, or knight who was beheaded for his crimes and returned under a cursed harvest moon. Some believe his spirit is connected to Samhain, when the boundary between the living and the dead grows thin enough for restless spirits to cross.
Wherever he rides, crops rot, animals panic, and the air fills with the smell of smoke and freshly dug earth. And simply defeating him isn't enough. Unless a specific funerary ritual is performed, the Horseman eventually rises again to continue his hunt.
Mechanically, the Headless Horseman is a CR 14 undead built around mobility, relentless pursuit, and devastating attacks. His Fiery Greataxe deals slashing and fire damage, with additional necrotic damage against frightened enemies, while Laughing Skull allows him to hurl his flaming pumpkin head at enemies, unleashing a fiery explosion that deals 10d6 fire damage.
His Ghostride ability lets him pass through solid objects, while his legendary actions allow him to charge across the battlefield, stun enemies with Glare of Embers, or mark a target with Harvest Mark, making that creature especially vulnerable to his attacks.
I've also included four optional traits to customize the encounter, from leaving burning hoofprints behind to relentlessly tracking creatures that try to escape him.
The Headless Horseman is from Undead & Undead: The Ultimate Undead Handbook, available for 5E and the 2024 Edition on DriveThruRPG!
The manual includes 90+ undead statblocks, each with optional traits and variants, alongside an undead lair system, 50+ magic items, customizable templates, necromantic rituals, campaign tools, and VTT resources. It's designed to give DMs plenty of options for building undead encounters, from minor restless spirits to powerful necromantic horrors.
My Kickstarter for 300+ Mythological Items for 5E and 2024 is also live now! The campaign includes a physical hardcover, as well as printed editions of my previous manuals.
You can find more of my creatures, magic items, and manuals on DriveThruRPG, my Linktree, or right here on r/JonnyDM!

Sale Haunted House Module (PWYW)
In the spirit of spooky season, I made a recent dungeon module pay what you want: A Century of Grief on an Eclipsed Night. If you want the printed version, you will need to at least cover printing and shipping. Otherwise, you can get the PDF for whatever.
If you get around to reading it and/or running it, I would be very happy to hear your thoughts (preferably as a review, but you can also message me here), so that I can see what worked or clicked for you.
Cheers

Upcoming We’ve been live now on RandomWorlds — AMA/Q&A about Gunsmoke & Dread, Weird West cosmic horror for Daggerheart
Hi everyone!
I’m Riccardo Scaringi, designer and writer of Gunsmoke & Dread, and I’ve been live on the RandomWorlds Discord for a Q&A hosted by Dan Davenport.
We talked about the project, Weird West, the Cthulhu Mythos, how supernatural creatures fit into the historical frontier, Daggerheart spellcasting, our Weird West subclasses, the nine-volume campaign, and plenty more.
Nearkly anything you want to know about the game.
👉 Read the RandomWorlds Discord here:
https://discord.com/events/603053805507969085/1539591938439647324
If you’ve been curious about Gunsmoke & Dread, this is probably the best possible time to come and read about it. 😄
Gunsmoke & Dread is a complete Weird West / cosmic-horror campaign built for Daggerheart. The Core Ruleset and all nine campaign volumes are already written; the upcoming crowdfunding campaign is primarily about funding the remaining original artwork and professional final layout.

Release MECHA-MERCS: A card-driven, solo-friendly mecha RPG
I've made a Solo/Coop hack of Dead Belt and Mecha Hack to play with my kids. Its based on the same Carta system that Dead Belt uses but maps are "procedurally" generated by taking turns moving cards to random locations. You can play a quick one-shot or setup for a longer campaign that runs through multiple missions.
I started playing Dead Belt last summer by my self and then my 10 year old got interested and we started to play together. I've run Mecha Hack for him with his brother and he thought it would be great to play a mecha version of Dead Belt, I thought it was a great idea too =D
I worked on it over this summer and we've been playing it and it runs really well. I put it together into a print at home staple booklet, the kids love the "feelies" so they get their own copies and their character sheets are also mini 8-page zines.
I plan to release a few addon modules of more objectives and threats. There are community copies and the SRD is free to download. Please let me know what you think :)

I made an Android dice roller that floats over your screen, so you can roll without switching apps: Roll Anywhere
Hi everyone,
I do a lot of solo roleplaying on my phone when commuting or out and about. Most dice rollers are in their own app or a webpage, which meant constantly switching between apps or doing split screen.
I got annoyed by this, so I built Roll Anywhere: a dice bubble that sits on top of any app and rolls dice from a floating interface. As far as I'm aware, it's the first and only floating dice roller for Android made for RPG players.
What it does:
- All the standard RPG dice, d4 to d20 plus d100
- Designed for RPGs - add modifiers, sum dice totals, keep/drop highest or lowest, re-rolling, negative dice
- Beautiful 3D dice animations, real dice sounds, and a voice that reads out the result (all toggleable)
- Create custom dice with numbers, words or symbols for faces
- Saved rolls, so "d20+d6+1" can be a single tap
- Roll history with copy and delete
- No ads, subscription or account sign-up.
Most of it is completely free. There's a one-time Pro upgrade that adds advanced features: unlimited custom dice and saved rolls, rolling from formula ("4d6kh3+2"), separate dice bags for different characters/games, pass/fail against a DC, dice pool successes, and exploding dice.
You can find the app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.rollanywhere.
I aim to support the app with (completely optional) dice skins, and my dream is to have a collab with actual RPG publishers one day. How cool would it be to have The One Ring feat dice in the app?!
I use this app every day for my own roleplaying and I hope it works for you too. I'm a solo developer and still adding things, so please do give me your feedback - I'd love to hear how to make it better. And if you like it, any positive reviews would really help more people find it.
Thanks in advance for trying it out!
