Appreciation - J-Mod reply So what does everyone think of the rest of the 2027 roadmap.
Personally, it looks like we are getting several Menaphos sized updates next year and a lot of great QoL updates/reworks.
I feel like the plugins will be great for anyone doing a less standard challenge account.
Edit: I hope people will excuse the poor image as I tend to use Reddit on my phone and I just took a photo of my monitor.

everything in this roadmap is amazing, Feels like there jmod to work on the game and not pump mtx item every week.
GM clue scroll will be fun if they are super rare but always rewarding.
Agility rework will be fun more movement abilities is always good thing
be nice to see rs3 jmod spin on dragon slayer 2
Argento will be sick, thinking along the line of priff 2 with all cool skilling activities.
Community skilling boss is fun hopefully solo wont be meta like it is on osrs for wintertotd and tempross
Solo boss should be fun, amascut was really fun hopefully we can get solo boss that rivals telos
An actual raid will be sick, wonder if rs3 will get "megarare" (mazcab isnt a raid, that just two bosses stuck together with a smile face puzzle)
ucl, grouping system and ninja team will be amazing.
overall best roadmap rs3 ever had tbh could be the best year for rs3
its a shame the ignited happened and made not many people talk about the roadmap.

Raids are what ED 1/2/3 should have been tbh.
Remove the ability to teleport/bank midway through, dial the difficulty up a bit and make them a bit bigger - that’s what I hope raids to be.
1
u/zypo88 Zij9999, Maxed 20180615 6d ago
You want EDs to be more of an annoying slog than they already are? Okay then...
2
2
u/Torezx 6d ago
In fact I’m gonna comment twice
The ONLY reason the dungeons feel like a slog is because they are so easy and their rewards are dated. That is exactly what happens when things are so easy that they just feel like a waste of your time, you aren’t stimulated at all.
If it was difficult and had rewards that were considered significant today, and there were leaderboards for completion time in solo/duo/trio and the damage taken there was actually significant enough to warrant inventory management, we would be looking at the best Pvm content in the game.
0
u/zypo88 Zij9999, Maxed 20180615 6d ago
They feel like a slog because even if you one shot everything (I don't) you have to have perfect movement to complete them in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time, and unless you're lucky enough to get a unique (I'm not) the rewards at the end are a few bones or gems that are worth at most a couple million. Sure if you have time and proficiency to run them for 8 hours they're eventually worth it but that's not realistic for most players
2
u/Torezx 6d ago
This literally just applies to every pvm aspect in the game?
Most pvm requires many hours of input to average out reasonable profit/output, so why single out ED’s?
-1
u/zypo88 Zij9999, Maxed 20180615 6d ago
Because it feels worse when a perfect hour nets you 3-4 kills on a boss like Ambassador who has the same rare drop rate as a boss like Rax that could be killed directly 15+ times in the same period. And you're suggesting that they should make Raids/EDs take longer
0
u/Torezx 6d ago
100% there should be a piece of content in the game that takes 45min+ to clear, a raid style dungeon.
I think you’re really struggling with the concept of drop rates and your comparisons are really odd (comparing ambassador with 3 drops of T92 vs araxxor with 6 drops of T90 and saying they’re the same rate so ED is bad).
At the end of the day, as long as most end game equipment takes average 40-50 hours to obtain, that seems to be the acceptable limit that we’ve become used to.
So yes, put a 45 min dungeon in there and require 70 completions on average for log. Perfect.
Make it difficult. Make it use resources. Make it faster by 10% in duo and 20% in trio (design it where 3 combat styles are required and solo would have to play it slower to conserve limited resources).
Release that shit with a Hard Mode that unlocks after 10 KC, buff the rates in Hard Mode but it’s only completable by the top 20% of players.
Ensure HM drop rates aren’t too OP but the trade off is a fancy cosmetic and a set of hiscores for speed.
You’ve got:
- Engaging content with roles
- Difficult content requiring defensive and planning
- Something that scales solo, duo and trio (anymore and I feel like group fear kicks in for a lot of people).
- Prestige in a Hard Mode that doesn’t feel too bad to be excluded from (rates are still good in NM, but HM titles leaderboards and cosmetics satisfy the endgame bunch).
- Variety never seen before in the game (long dungeon that can’t be left).
- content that could actually be streamed in an entertaining way (long form dungeons typically beat repetitive quick killing bosses for viewership perspective).

Tells alot on how bad reignited is as it overshadows all those other really great updates. Without it everybody would be happy and optimistic about upcoming year, Jagex already was on hot streak before this but Reignited, on its current state, is game-killing update in a long term.

oky dokey pal.. see you a year or two down the road when the games still not dead. not really a bad update. misplaced maybe, but well intentioned. will probably have very little effect in current state. and honestly taking the vocal minority and claiming it to be everybody is wild. negativity will always be louder than positivity. hate sells better.

right but it's also still not growing. in fact it's been in decline for a good while. i never claimed this was gonna be a good update it's just not one that's gonna kill it. they have the well being of the game in mind. they don't want the game to die either.

Agility rework was my number one wish, so that has me very excited. And with how good havenhythe has been, I’m looking forward to all the new areas.
2
u/Rain_Zeros Arposandran 6d ago
I don’t know that I’d particularly say Havenhythe has been really good, if you ignore part 2, we had a days worth of content including both boss logs and full completion of the digsite, otherwise it feels very barren. And part 2 is actually good and has quite a bit to do, but the into quest is so fucking dogshit. It felt the same as all the other quests in Havenhythe main story so far, walking simulator, except this time bigger and a whole area of the map is instance locked to a quest maze
My hope for any new area expansions is that they keep the size to content ratio in mind. If you can’t deliver the content to match the size, does it really need to be as big as it is?
Ofcourse there is the rebuttal that it leaves them room to add future content, sure that makes sense, but then wouldn’t you want to fluff it atleast a little next year?
Prior to the bog being added, there was 0 point to going to Havenhythe after day 1
That being said, if your frame of reference is Anachronia, then fuck, Havenhythe is 13/10 expansion

u/Harry_Mess 6d ago
It looks awesome!
New quests, and specifically sequels to old ones (especially getting to finally continue the gnome questline), are super exciting. Although I really didn't like Heralds of Crimson, I've really enjoyed the other Havenhythe quests, so hopefully these ones will be good.
Agility rework is desperately needed and the new skilling activities in Havenhythe pt 2 give me a lot of hope for their design philosophy for skilling. I think changing agility courses to be active but more engaging, and also having a more AFK lower XP option, is a great idea. My complaint with agility has always been that it's both too active and way too boring. It either needs to be more engaging or more AFK, and they're adding both options!
I hate doing clue scrolls so QoL improvements and making it easier to get started with them is something I'm excited for.
I've been super impressed with Havenhythe Pt 2 in terms of how fun the area is to explore and how good the activities in it are. If Dragon Isle and Arposandra are as good then I can't wait. The remasters coming to the gnome quests/areas and Karamja (among other places) are exciting too. It can be pretty jarring going from some of the older environments to the very newest ones.
Community skilling boss and new skilling activities are exciting! I'm a skiller at heart, so I'll happily take all new skilling options.
as for the Road to Restoration, I'm keen for the unified collection log, group finder, and quest timeline updates in particular.

u/Alexexy 6d ago
Im glad that theyre finally finishing the gnome storyline and that karamja is getting an expansion.
Dragon slayer 2 is kinda dumb and lazy. Im honestly tired of dragons being in the spotlight yet again.
3
u/lronManatee I tried to square, but then I sideways 6d ago
Just to make sure this isn't the only opinion on the matter, Dragon Slayer 2 is what I'm MOST excited for. Make it take endgame stats, make it big, make the boss fight tough. Dragon slayer 1 is the finishing touch of f2p, and I'd love something like this for members. Maybe the reward is just some cosmetic shield override or something idk. I would be happy.
1
u/Alexexy 6d ago
I wish I can have the same type of enthusiasm. Dragons are beyond played out for me. We fought the original dragon in the Queen Black Dragon. We fought proto dragon experiments with the Rex Matriarchs. We fought the original gene seed for dragons in Raksha. We fought various permutations of the Dragonkin like Tarshak, Kranon, and Taraket. We fought demonic dragonkin of the kalgerions. We even fought a Dragonkin wielding two elder artifacts in Kerapac.
Like there is nothing left to explore with dragons and I rather have them do something like Dimension of Disaster 2 or something.
6
u/Turbeypls 6d ago
It was mentioned in the roadmap post, but the server load fix (worlds getting laggy when too many players are on them) can potentially be one of the biggest updates ever. It's an absolutely crucial fix for playing alongside others without hurting your own gameplay experience. Though it's been such a longstanding issue that my sentiment is currently that I'll believe it when I see it.
6
u/preferrAFK 6d ago
It's pretty stacked and very exciting. I really can't wait for collection log though.

I am so looking forward to the City of Gnomes and having the finale to the quest series. Much the same as when we finally got the City of Elves (Priff) and the finale to that quest series.
Ninja team back - great. There were some really good QoL and other updates from this team in the past.
Agility rework - absolutely!
Only thing missing for me is another Leagues. But hopefully that will be slotted in

I'm really looking forward to finally finishing the Gnome storyline and Karamja rework. Universal collection log will also make a lot of content a bit more meaningful. I was a bit disappointed that we are not getting the new skill, but it looks like there is enough to do next year.
5
u/Rain_Zeros Arposandran 6d ago edited 6d ago
I’ve been waiting for Arposandra for 15 fucking years. I still remember being a kid wondering when the next gnome quest was coming out.
Not to mention, the skilling boss sounds like wildy tree but better… my whole clan would pretty much exclusively do wildy tree it was the best wilderness event
Being told we are getting dragon slayer 2 sounds so cool!
I didn’t think we would get another land expansion for a long time because we just got Havenhythe… I even strongly doubted vampyrium was going to be anything more than a quest area…
While we didn’t get vampyrium… to hear that BOTH Arposandra and Dragons Isle are NOT just quest areas and will have end game skilling was SUCH A HUGE reveal for me!
Seeing that agility is finally being reworked also has me hyped but I am skeptical about some things they said “changes to run energy”… ominous…, then the only concrete thing they said was “possible new movement ability and moving surge and dive to agility unlock” cool we’ve kinda been asking for that for a long time… but then I have concerns about the rest of what they showed and talked about with agility. They specifically said courses were remade but then they said something like “so run in those rooftops and get your xp up” or something like that and the artwork they showed was rooftop agility at port sarim, but they didn’t imply adding any new courses… it makes me wonder if either 1. They forgot what game they were talking about since we don’t have rooftop agility or 2. They are adding rooftop agility which I’ve been begging for, but part of the thing that makes rooftop agility so fucking great (cough 99 agi on one of my osrs characters as it’s only 99 cough) is that it’s rewarding. Obviously Grace dosent fit into rs3 due to weight really not being meaningful… and I don’t want to outright copy osrs, but I do think all courses should reward you for interacting with them more than agi xp
I’m not a clue scroll person, but that’s because I’m lazy and haven’t setup my hidey holes, but I’m so excited to see meek running around in game!
Very skeptical about the raid, I’m also still confused about it… is it like a high level arch spot that opens up a raid? Is it a raid that has archaeological dig spots? Does it have anything to do with archaeology?
Was that fucking zaros?
Edit: this isn’t even including my thoughts on rtr but this comment was very long so I’m gonna make a reply

Woooooooooooooooooooo we finally get our helmet plumes back!!!!! Armor no longer looks like a pile of shit!!!!!
The new path system looks overwhelming but interesting..
UNIFIED COLLECTION LOGS they’ve non stop promises this and I’m so glad to finally see it on a roadmap! It’ll be so nice to quickly check everything without having to jump through multiple menus or find an inventory item for that specific log
Hell we can’t even see some logs right now like heists or dungoneering
Had more to say I just don’t remember all the stuff I care about right now, was very hyped up until the last announcement that a lot of it left my head

You mean the current ones are a dumpster fire? Yea they are not great and I’m not saying they should’ve been kept. I just wish the armors looked different from each other besides the color .

u/Legal_Evil 6d ago
They are adding rooftop agility which I’ve been begging for, but part of the thing that makes rooftop agility so fucking great (cough 99 agi on one of my osrs characters as it’s only 99 cough) is that it’s rewarding.
Rooftops suck. Add Sepulchre but balanced around movement abilities instead.
1
u/Rain_Zeros Arposandran 6d ago
Both sephulchre and rooftops are great… when compared to rs3 agility…
While they are at it, I’ll also take osrs brimhaven. Rs3 brimhaven is fucking awful
1
u/Legal_Evil 6d ago
Rooftops are exactly like normal courses, just with extra marks of grace.
1
u/Rain_Zeros Arposandran 6d ago
The difference is it makes agility accessible from everywhere. It’s a teleport away to train agility at any level which isn’t true for normal courses besides ana and burthorpe
I refuse to call brimhaven a real training method in its current state. Far worse than the osrs one

It's sad that the AI trailer killed a lot of the hype for Dragon Slayer 2, I'm really curious what they'll do with it considering a major part of the OSRS version was Vorkath, who was already used in the Fort Forinthy questline. We should also be getting more Robert the Strong lore, maybe following up on what those cryptic clues we found during Ritual of the Mahjarrat meant.
Finally getting to Arposandra is also really cool, it's been FIFTEEN YEARS since the last gnome quest, so it's always fun to see one of these long-running questlines get an actual conclusion. I just hope Arposandra ends up feeling more worthwhile and content-filled than Menaphos did.
Also very happy to see us revisit Karamja, I can't remember the last time that area got much of anything in terms of updates, it feels like such a relic of an ancient era. I hope that it adds something to the Kharazi Jungle, considering what a big deal Legends Quest makes about us finally being able to get there vs how little there is to do once the quest is over (you basically revisit it for two seconds in Recipe for Disaster, and after that it's just Clue Scrolls and maybe Holy Water if you're one of the three people alive who still uses it)

u/Everestkid 19 year account. Two 99s. Efficiencyscape. 6d ago
To my knowledge, the last times southern Karamja (as in south of Brimhaven) got content updates were the Jadinko Lair (July 2011) and Herblore Habitat (November 2010).

u/VeryDominantGuy 6d ago
I like clue scrolls and I hate agility so I was already happy just from that alone, everything else was a bonus till the end.
3
u/roax206 6d ago
I'm not into clues but I would love to see at least some agility courses that change between runs.
The shortcuts in the elven agility course were interesting but I only ever got that far in leagues. The brimhaven course has multiple paths but most of it is just waiting for the destination to change and the obstacles are simple as anything.

u/J_silence 6d ago
I was pretty hyped for all the roadmap for the most part. Reignited too the wind out of the sails to be honest. It does make it really hard to get excited.
I think I also may have accidentally burnt myself out on leagues. I'm trying to get use to the game without relics but trying to reorient myself and figure out what to do next
3
u/roax206 6d ago
Yes the leagues burnout was real. I ended up playing dragonwilds for a few weeks afterwards since the 1.0 update dropped.
Personally I'm not too worried about reignited as even if they don't fix/scrap it, it will just end up dead after the free membership finishes. People will go back to the veteran worlds as that is where the people already are and Jagex will be forced to scrap the reignited system.

Curious about the dragon slayer 2 quest but a bit disappointed it's only a master quest as the OSRS one is quite a prominent GM quest
1
u/MrStealYoBeef 6d ago
Ds2 is a GM quest, but it's probably the easiest of the GM quests. The final fight is very comparable to post quest vork in terms of difficulty, and vorkath is a straight pushover.
Since then, we've gotten some really decent GM quests that put up a true challenge. Jagex figured out how to make us work for that quest cape.

Not super feeling hoard of dragons, with it yet again being a new mostly-standalone island with some things to do. Not entirely sold on the quest pitch or gm clues either, but we'll see once we get there.
Very excited for arposandra quest and gnome quest reworks, medium for the bosses. Interested in karamja raid, but mostly to finally see karamja lore expanded again. Actually very excited for theee collection log and a quest timeline cleanup too.
Plugins I'm mostly eh on? Idc for quest helper since I enjoy playing quests, and tile markers aren't super relevant in the current game I feel. Clue trainer is nice and menu entry swapper will be great once it gets integrated to its full potential, but what I'm truly here for is the eventual roof removal on hover, door kicker, detailed loot trackers, farming timers, etc. The smaller "you can easily do without them, BUT" plugins.
Sadly none of that matters atm. If they go ahead with a permanent split, I can't really get myself to care much about any of this.

what is a raid?

I've wanted them to re-evaluate dragons as a whole for awhile. Dragons in DS1 are presented as this force of nature that can erase entire towns. Only for them to be something mid-level bots farmed for much of the games life.
4
u/Draculesti_Hatter Hat Fighter 6d ago
Only things im not really feeling is Dragon Slayer 2 and maybe the Karamja raid depending on how it's handled. Dragon Slayer just seems meh to me because, quite frankly, Runescape dragons have always felt underwhelming to me as far as threats go thanks to being able to slaughter them by the hundreds for the most part, so unless they manage to do something interesting with it that's probably going to be the weakest of the bunch for me. The Karamja raid is tbd because Im not a big fan of raids to begin with, but they also haven't shown much else from that part of the map so maybe there will be something else in it for me. Hard to tell for sure, though.
Other than that, the rest of the announced updates sound good.

Unsure how a "raid" fits into RS3. Durzag and Yaka feel out of place with the rest of pvm. As far as EDs go, I much prefer sanctum to ED 1/2/3 because the trash mobs feel like a chore. It feels to me like as power creep makes bosses faster, if the raid releases as a 70/30 ratio of bossing to puzzles/trash mobs/other, then as DPS increases this might ratio will continually go down.

Love plugins for the community, not sure how much I'll use them
Not sure how I feel about GM clues, kinda waiting on details + what the clue community says. If cluers say its bad for the game, I'll probably defer to them
Love agility rework, needs it badly
Not excited for DS2, highly doubt it'll have the impact as it did in OSRS. AI controversy did not help.
Love the idea of a new skilling boss, hope it's not trollable like Croesus or solo-optimal like gate (group gate is just worse)
Love Gnome quest, its been years
Glouphrie boss kinda depends on the details
Considering how Mazcab was abandoned, I'm kinda skeptical on a new raid, especially with how we treat group PvM here.
1
u/SelfiesAreLame 6d ago
Group content always gets abandoned once it no longer contain bis items or the money gain isn't good enough. Which is why I'm not a big fan of too much group content. Solo stuff still stay relevant to Ironmen, even when it is out of the meta for mains.

Going to be honest, it's hard to be enthusiastic for it. Because who knows what the state of the game will be by then. The road to restoration was hopeful but now everything rides on what happens that isn't even a new content update.
I haven't even logged in for the new Havenhythe updates. I was going to after Runefest but have no motivation.

u/SUMBWEDY 6d ago
Game will still be about as popular as it is now (well, probably be -20% just like the yearly player attrition has been since 2014).
The issues with reignited will take years to play out. Still sucks but it's not going to be like OSRS on release which died after 6~ months seeing daily highs of 3k playersdue to no updates.
2
u/fenek212 6d ago
It was 3.5k players at the lowest point ever. OSRS still had ~20k peak player count during that time (August 2013).
3
u/roax206 6d ago
Personally I think if Jagex tries to implement a version of reignited that isnt what the players want, people will be back on the 'veteran' accounts as soon as the free membership ends. Then Jagex will be forced to scrap the idea. I really don't think it is something you should let control whether you play or not.

Honestly was super excited with what seemed like a very humble road map. Not too much, not too little. Yet I haven't logged in since because reignited took all my optimism away. - Hoard of Dragons feels okay to me but also like a series of very watered down safe bets. Agility rework was needed regardless, a lot of people love clue scrolls. I don't like that they went with the heavy Dragon Slayer 2 and myths guild theming. We don't need to steal from OSRS and it just feels like cheap thrills for the masses.
- City of Gnomes is insanely hype but I wish for a greater rework and replay for the Gnome quests. Glough is a very shallow villain who got very little time, but the fact that we're closing out Gnomes is amazing.
- Karamja feels great but I highly doubt it will actually happen. If it does happen it'll be hype.
- not sure about the Zaros stuff.

1
u/BakaGaming 6d ago
Nah, imo we should "steal" more from OSRS. If it works, why not copy it? Same for wildy bosses, would love more wildy content. Maybe even just have them with an amazing drop table (no uniques), but the boss arena is a PvP area or something like that.

A little sad that Vampyrium is being pushed back. Otherwise, it looks good.

I was hoping for more info regarding Vampyrium and the 30th skill.. I don't hope those two aren't getting shelved.. especially the 30th skill

I Hope they wont Release 30th Skill too fast. It should be as good as archaeologie that would be amazing maybe at the 30 year anniversary

The roadmap looks great and I’m going to enjoy the content regardless of what happens with ignite

u/xSocksman 6d ago
Figuring that there was a post about how OS is getting all this content and the RS3 side only showed Reunited, I think the RS3 community don't realize there were more updates announced.

Honestly an incredible roadmap. Was so excited to see everything here, even the early game improvements that aren't for me. A little disappointed they abandoned the Vampyrium stuff, but so excited to finally conclude the gnome storyline and Arposandra. A community skilling boss is a great idea as well, and I love the whole vibe of Secrets of Karamja.
Would have been so hyped if they didn't ruin it 30 seconds later.

I liked, just dont have an opinion about grandmaster clues yet. But overall i got pretty hyped, for me without the secret announced of reignited would be a 9/10

u/SashasCastle 6d ago
The rest of the roadmap was, to me, a phenomenal win. It was only soured by Reignited. Had they not included that part I would've been stoked beyond belief and likely even tossed in a year sub, rather than being left uncertain and uneasy.

Doesn't matter anymore. Wanted to come back just to find out i'll be stuck with very few people in 60 days... so now I wait to see how much forever wow sucks me in and if I want to start over. Wanted to do something to pass the time but feels pointless now.

It looks good , I was very excited for the future of RuneScape until the reignited news
Everything else seemed awesome - hoping there’s another dragon related boss coming after hoard of dragons too

Outside of “the update that shall not be named” everything else looks incredible.

Looks really good tbh. Didn’t they also announce at runefest there will be a new skill coming? It’s just not in the roadmap yet and still in development, I believe

I can’t wait for the gm clues but I want better clue item storage especially since with the PoH rework

Ngl I think the only things I actually care about is unified clog which realistically is way overdue and maybe the clues if they're not insanely tedious or insanely trivial

Regarding what happens to reignited it is possible that there won't be any rs3 next winter. They went agaisnt the invariants, I am still traumatized unsubbed since the "none gameplay intrusive manneer" pr scandal(it was a real big scandal tbh) and I was already less than I could because I was often burn out by mtx overloads and "balance around mtx", what was remaining was 20+ years vets on copious amount of copium and rignited, even after the PR pass we got, directly predates on their "existence" as gamer.
Do not minimize what 20 years of believing some stuff won't move, on many aspects it was for them a worse traumatism than a closing annoucement. And to be frank, there is nothing after reignited except of closing annoucements, it gets impossible to manage 2 playerbases then you can't redo it again because the trick your used is a one of. Every major mmo which died did that, Trion sold Rift to Gamigo officially 3 days after launching its reboot servers for example.
Then about announcement roadmaps, those can't be compared to Roadmaps from 3 years ago, slop makes it 20 times cheapers generating those kinds of projections. Yon can't trust anything before seing it. It is sad, RS3 is an underrated game, the issue is that it is toxic by design and the only way to solve that is to build better on top. They are cutting corner to cut losses, it won't work and it's a waste.

This community has done more damage to its playerbase than Re-ignited would have ever dome.
1
u/gagaluf 6d ago
Maybe but unsure. The people in my RS3 clan are great people, it is the best, at least casual, gaming community I engaged with in 35+ years of playing video games. But they are americans, I'm french, I know 0 french person on this game and to me I felt the cultural barrier when it came to retention mechanics a lot. It is was an unhealthy game, way before Carlile, regarding to my standards at least.

u/TriLink710 6d ago
I'm not saying the community is actually bad in game. Veterans are nice, I'm one of them.
But based on reactions on here, people are dooming and pushing eachother to just quit. And if Re-ignited I feel like they will re-ignited players as lesser.

Grandmaster clue scrolls? Time to go back to doing clues…
Dragon slayer 2? Another osrs inspired idea…..

u/Interview_Lopsided 6d ago
Oh good lord oh no taking inspiration from another game within!! literally 70% of osrs roadmap is rs3 inspired quests and areas and do you know what their community is saying about that? they are as excited as pigs in shit. they could care less that it took inspiration from rs3 updates because it's going to be their own version. so will Dragon Slayer 2 for rs3

Only things about it I disliked were Reignited and the step backwards into lame palette swap armors. The rest of it sounds amazing and the new things on the 2027 R2R cover pretty much every last thing I was missing from 2026's.
Why'd you cover up the adventure guide/remastered journey? Those are great too.

You are allowing Jagex to sweep the issue under the rug by moving on.

u/FattM Suggestions are not design documents 6d ago
According to your post history you quit one year ago over some nerfs that were apparently "killing the game".
So either you already moved on yourself, which is fine but should maybe give you some perspective, or you've lost any integrity. Certainly you shouldn't be directing what others talk about.

It's mostly more "make RS3 OSRS again" bullshit.
Maybe they can ask AI to make them a video that will show them how to come up with an original fucking idea for once.
2
u/laurencekeng 6d ago
What besides ds2 is the roadmap making rs3 more like osrs? Also I think it’s good to take popular things from each game and expand on it across games. Osrs does a lot with rs3 content and it’s fairly popular (they’re doing it again with menaphos and im pretty excited about it)

Yea I don't get people saying RS3 should be more like OSRS. I already have access to both with the same subscription.
I get that there are ideas in OSRS that would work well for RS3 (and vice versa) and I definitely think Jagex should get more player input on decisions.
On the other hand there are a lot of things that I like in RS3 that OSRS doesn't have and they are basically different games at this point. It's almost as bad as saying that dragonwilds should just be like one of the MMOs
Edit: I noticed someone disagreed enough to dislike this comment but not enough to reply. I would like to hear your thoughts.
