Table base
A friend with a 50 year old Hinckley asked me to make a small table top that would sit on a 2-7/8" post that would occasionally replace the larger dining table, which connects to the top of the center board, which doubles as part of the table. I need to find s piece of hardware to mount the new top and it has to lock on like the original hardware because it Will be attached close to one end rather than in the center. Attaching photos of the post, the hardware that mounts to the table top and a sketch of what I want to do. I'm looking for advice on where to look for hardware like this. Preferably stainless but that might not be possible. Appreciate any advice, thanks

You could have it scanned and then send the CAD file to a print shop and have it reproduce in Stainless.
You could contact a local metal fab shop and have them make you one.
You could model it and print in ABS if you have a capable 3D printer.
What I would do is modify the existing table top so it can be folded in a way that makes it fit the new dimensions and saving the issue of having to store the larger to when not in use.

Just make it out of wood. Three or four layers of wood donuts epoxied together with a nut laminated in there, drilled through with a thumb screw to tighten it down.
Hell, the dinette in my boat is just a conical interference fit and it works great with 0 moving parts. If you chamfer the sharp corner on his legs you could do that with wood too.

You can find lots of them at boat scrap yards, check out bacon sails in Annapolis (they have an eBay store) and anchors and oars.
