Quote Scenes where the character can't open the door.

Someone at work has trouble with opening and locking the door - I'm looking for movie scenes where the character cant do the same to post in the whatsapp thread.

Looking for suggestions - preferably funny, but anything will do.

I've already used Godfather 2 and the Campaign.

Any suggestions welcome...

Ted Lasso 3x10 ("International Break").

Akufo asks the Russian club owner to leave the meeting because it's "not a good look right now".

The Russian guy keeps failing to open the door, while Akufo struggles to explain "...it's a pull. You keep pushing it. It's a pull. You have to pull it...".

Louis Tully - Ghostbusters. Keeps locking himself out of his apartment.

Does it have to be a full door or will a gate do? There's a scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2006) when Willy Wonka is trying to find a key to a gate from a comically large key ring while a child is getting attacked by squirrels on the other side.

Thanks - never seen the film, but I'll check it out.

Children of Men had a good one. (Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen one of the best films of all time.) They barely get the door open a few inches; it's blocked from the other side by debris. When they manage to literally squeeze through, the cop chasing them pokes his head out, only to get his skull caved in with a car battery.

A little heavy but that soldier in Nic Cage’s The Rock when he drops a VX gas ampule and gets bubbly-infected on the wrong side of that glass door while the others watch. 🫧💀

I wish the book The Design Of Everyday Things by Don Norman was a movie. There is a awesome section about doors.

2001: A Space Odyssey. Dave really needs to get those pod bay doors open, but Hal just isn't feeling it.

The Shining. Jack needs to get through a locked door, and must get creative.

There are several scenes of Worf having trouble with doors in Star Trek TNG. https://youtu.be/D6PfOJ_9tvM?is=MJEYAYfze6-B1K46

New Girl s2e7 - Nick Miller hates doors. He tries to push a door, it's a pull, "I'LL PUSH IF I WANNA PUSH!!" and proceeds to continue to push.

In Tenet, John David Washington aka The Protagonist has a hard time opening a lock while holding their breath, and Robert Pattinson aka Neil comes to the rescue.

Bean: The Movie. At the end, there's a security guard that Mr. Bean tricks.

If you’ll allow TV, season 2 episode 3 of the uk comedy The Thick of It has an angry moment of someone trying to get out of a room.
