Original racetrack geometry unwrapped from dirt rally 2015 and adapted for dr2. A lot of work done for the environment and textures. There is DLSS5 on photo.

Im on cachy os idk how intense of a install process it is. Last id heard this game was still fairly unmoddable just some basic stuff but nothing like a whole stage.

Anyways id try it out but im not a great tester. Idk how well of a report I could write up

How has the transition been on cachyos? 

I wanna go full cachy and I hear the only issues are anticheat games but what about other random applications?

So far every single random application I have tried has worked most of them flawlessly. This includes mod installers for richard burns rally. A piece of software for putting music onto a toniebox (kids toy thing) pirated games very old games new games. Nothing has given me much issue

Doom 2016 wouldn't run at a higher refresh rate than my monitor. And for some old games you need to disable the newer windows stuff in (not wine but its kinda similar) you put stuff into the steam properties for that. I had to use ai to help but someone smarter would probably understand better. That was only for richard burns rally tho.

I’m interested in getting a hold of decrypted CTF physics files to mod the physics. Is that something you were able to extract? I worked on the alternate physics mod for first Dirt Rally.

good luck. just last week i booted dr1 to play this awesome track and was disappointed with coming back to old game times and quirks fixed in dr2

Totally interested, in fact I'm using AI to research a way to put it into custom championship / free play, without replacing any existing maps. It seems feasable.

As far as I could look into base.ctpk, the game already has the mode ID for hillclimb, possibly a leftover from DR1, but to include it on menus as a new track, new strings need to be added.
