What is the reason these networks pay so much for broadcasters? (im a full blown tom brady hater btw) Brady is getting almost 40mil a year. Aikman and romo were at 18mil a year.

My question is why? Im sure some people enjoy their input but do any of these people add any tangible value to the product? Couldn't they get the same analysis from any nfl coordinator? Are more people really going to tune in to a fox sports game because Brady is on the broadcast?

I thought Romo was actually pretty good at broadcasting. Since hes gone, I'm not going to not watch the next game because he isnt in the booth.

So what am i missing? Football fans will tune in regardless.
