Name: Your Introverted Space - https://your-introverted-space.comReside in Maryland
Pitch/Description: Your Introverted Space works has 2 sides. The first being a place for young introverts who need a safe and chill spot to share and interact. This website was created because I noticed that most social media sites just spam us with content and push us into busy environments. We try to get rid of that. The other half of this idea is growth, during quarantine we have all gotten very comfortable with not interacting with practically anyone. We strive to create an environment where we can all support each other but also push each other to get out of our comfort zones so we can all grow as people. I also hold weekly challenges called "Comfort Zone Goals" where users can post different social challenges for others to participate in. At the end of the week we come together and discuss how we did. It is a great way to explore opportunities outside your comfort zone while also having the support of other introverts.
Stage: Currently the startup is in a MVP stage
Role: Since I am the only member I basically run everything
Goals: Since I am only 17 I know I have little experience so this is a learning experience for me. I want to gain users and bring more awareness to my site as I think it can help a lot of people
What I want from this subreddit: Exposure, I want to show my site to a larger audience so posting it here can help facilitate that
Discounts: As there is no product it is hard to give discounts but what I can say is that we do shoutouts on our social media account for users who complete our weekly challenges.

As far as feedback for your landing page, I think it’s too long — some text could be reduced in size. I think some images are not helpful, i.e could be 70% transparent in background instead of a standalone. I would use color blocks for strips to break out sections of the page as well. You can get some great inspo on dribbble.

Elevator Pitch/Explainer Video:
A platform to connect solo travelers. We plan to do this by:
Giving solo travelers a way to see other verified travelers who will be crossing paths with them on their travels.
Chat functionality and personal profiles to help travelers meet like minded travelers that have compatible traveling styles.
A secure process to split costs for accommodation, and other expenses such as group tours or vehicle hire.
More details:
Currently in the discovery stage, trying to learn about my target market and to see if theres a problem here that needs solving.
I'm the technical co-founder (1 other co-founder, no employees)
What goals are you trying to reach this month?
This month, I'm trying to get at least 50 responses to my survey, and at least 10 alpha users.
This is turning out a little harder than I expected, because I was planning to use Reddit to target people but a lot of the subs that overlap well with my target market have rules against self promotion. I don't really have a network to tap into here so some advice would be awesome. I'm considering going down the paid ad route but I'm not sure if paid ads is an effective way to get pre-launch signups
Discount for r/startup subscribers?
There are no discounts specific to r/startup. We're still early days but we will be offering exclusive deals to our alpha users. You can sign up to be an alpha user by completing our survey

Is this solving a real problem? I can tell you as a real estate agent, this does not seem like it actually solves the problem as pictures alone do not show how good a property is.
There are other issues in the real estate industry that I think should be more deeply looked at, but you may have gotten great feedback. If no feedback, feel free to ping me and we can discuss in more detail off line.

Seems like a risky time for a travel startup until the COVID situation is behind us?
→ More replies (1)•
u/secretlizardperson Jul 02 '21
I have three pieces of feedback. First, I'm not totally sure what this is for-- is it so I could organize a meetup with someone else visiting the same city as me? I'm not 100% clear on why I would do that to be honest, but maybe that's just me. Second, it might be worth allowing people to say 'I live in xyz', too, so that they can meet with travelers and provide a local's perspective on the city. Finally, the scrolling text above the entry box sometimes overflows the width of a mobile screen, causing the box to move, which is a little distracting.
•
u/kkmeghwal Jul 02 '21
Thanks a lot, your feedback is really valuable to us. We will work on all the points very seriously in our upcoming sprints.

Hey u/FrenchTrevor. Good to see another team management tool on the shelf. Our startup has been actively looking for alternatives to centralize our discussions, minutes, ideas and tasks. Your solution seems to be a very good fit for our case.
We will be testing it out in the coming days. Afterwards, would it be good if we can schedule a call: https://calendly.com/arnold-32?

This is a really cool idea! I was just talking to someone about how difficult it is to stay in touch sometimes. I don't know if I would use this for true friends, but I would be much more likely to use it for acquaintances. Especially if there is no public viewing of number of "friends" it might take the pressure off to include everyone and actually keep your social network manageable.
Do you have any asks?

Hello! I'm a programmer artist that teaches how to make games as a way to get into coding (to kids but I'm also getting a few adult students). My goal this year is to get enough students that I need to hire another tutor.
I'm working on a facebook/youtube ad and I'd love your feedback. The add content will be something like this:
Title: Free Game Programming Class.
Description: Looking for fun learning activities for kids? Does your child love video games? Learning to make games is the most effective way to learn tech skills for any future career.
Visit our FAQ if you have more questions. https://www.academyofgames.org/faq/
Video Link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zmPvp93FlPnfspJTLVT_e5RqNwWKOheq/view?usp=sharing
Then they will click and go to this link where they will give me their email and a preferred time to schedule a first free class.
https://www.academyofgames.org/contact/
I'm not a marketer and I'm going to spend a good chunk of my money on this so I want it to be as good as it can be. I'll do this ad and then do another one based on what I find out from this ad.

Name / URL: Tinipak - www.Tinipak.net
Location of Your Headquarters: Vietnam
Elevator Pitch/Explainer Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eXqeYAFPk8&t=7s
More details: My name is Hoang, founder of Tinipak - the father of two boys.
When one of them started primary school, I was once confused about choosing a suitable backpack for him. Most of the backpacks that I saw before were too big, too heavy, and unfit for my kid's body. Their functions and designs were flashy and cumbersome and failed to meet my expectations for a school backpack. Since collecting and working with backpacks has been my passion for such a long time, I desired to design a capable backpack for my little son. This was the powerful motivator for me to make my dream come true. Originally I thought it would not take too long with my experience, but it took me 2 years to develop my first version, TiniBox. And thus, Tinipak was born.
What goals are you trying to reach this month? I'm trying to launch the project on Kickstarter in August with an upgraded Global version to share my product with students around the world. I'm hoping to connect more parents to build a strong community interested in the product.
Discount for r/startup subscribers? Right now if sign up, you can get a limited deal of up to 40% OFF on the launch-day

We are Splitcart
We are located and work in Bettendorf, IA which is part of the Quad Cities.
Splitcart is a new and unique cost sharing app on the Apple App Store. Our service eliminates the ongoing problems consumers have when trying to figure out how to split the cost, communicate with each other, and collect payment from everyone involved in the group purchase. Shop, Split, Ship all in one app. With Splitcart no one needs to front the cost of a purchase and you now can avoid the awkward hassle of chasing down people for their share of a purchase, or a gift. Our process is done in three easy steps. We are affiliated with Walmart and Best Buy, where you can shop their millions of products on our app. Once you have chosen an item and created your Splitcart, you can send the invite which is a shareable link to those you want or need to contribute. You can share this link via text, social media, and more. Even those without an Apple device can contribute with the link through our web app. Once everyone has contributed their share, the payments process, the item is funded, and it ships. We believe in making group purchasing easy, efficient, less stressful, and fun.
What life cycle stage is your startup at?
We have been working through different iterations of the app and getting to a point we love and are happy with, but we have yet to market our app/business as we continue to improve our service. We have also just released a major update to our app that allows for a new user experience and simpler way to split the cost of an item or gift.
Your Role?
I am the Graphic Designer of our team. I do the marketing design and much of the UI design of our app.
How could r/startups help?
We would love for this community to try our app and give us any feedback that you have. We are open to advice on app marketing, user growth and better ways to advertise our service.
Discount for r/startup subscribers?
We are a free to download app, and for this community we want to offer $20 to a splitcart you create to the first 100 who create them. Just leave a comment of the link to your Splitcart and we will get it started!

u/aritternyc Verified Lawyer Jul 12 '21
Not a startup per se, but launching a Twitch channel ("startuplaw") as a new side project.
Name: "startuplaw" Twitch Channel
About: I’m a corporate attorney (wiggin.com/person/andrew-ritter) and am going to be streaming on Twitch tonight (Monday) from 7 – 9 pm ET answering questions / losing in chess / maybe gaming. Basically office hours when there are questions and a pretty typical stream by a mediocre gamer when there aren’t. If you’ve got questions about basic corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, startups, venture capital or just law in general, feel free to stop by and ask away. I’ll generally be streaming on Monday and Friday nights and Sunday afternoon, so this will be a regular thing. Will periodically have specific topics I’ll talk about on Mondays, but tonight is just open.
Location: I'm a US attorney based in NYC, so can't answer questions about non-US law.
Goals: Hopefully this will be a good resource for folks.
Notes: I’m subject to ethical rules and so there are some things I can’t do on Twitch (i.e., I can’t give legal advice). I can answer questions like: “What do you think about 50/50 structures?”, “What’s the difference between a SAFE and a convertible note?”, “How do you sell a sole proprietorship?” I can't answer questions like: “My company has three founders. We have no revenue, but we’ve got great technology. My nephew is a jerk. A friend wants to invest $250,000 in a SAFE with a valuation cap. What should my valuation cap be? I also think my co-founders don’t do enough work. Can I fire them?” So please don’t get too specific or push for that sort of thing. If you want that sort of specific advice you really need to formally consult with an attorney.

- Location: Manila, Philippines

- Completing in-game challenges - The harder the challenge the better the ads you'll unlock (High quality ads = a buck load of points)
- Tips from other players - Carry that noob and maybe they'll thank you for it with some points.
We are looking to integrate this system in both indie and triple a titles alike meaning yeah, we won't force you to play boring games in order to earn. Play the games you love and earn by doing so.Our primary goal here is for the average gamer to be able to pay their bills by doing the thing they love the most: Gaming.

Name: Wellcare
URL: https://khamtuxa.vn
Location: Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
Pitch: Wellcare is a brand of mHealth Technologies Jsc, founded in 2015 by doctors and software engineers with the ambition of delivering high-quality primary care to all Vietnamese through the use of telemedicine.
Wellcare offers telemedicine, mental health, and wellness services to individuals and corporate employees. Now patients, even in rural areas, are able to access to reputable doctors and psychologists by phone and video 24/7.
We solve major pain points in Vietnam healthcare: lack of good doctors especially in remote areas, overcrowding in hospitals, misdiagnosis, and inappropriate treatment plans that lead to high healthcare cost burden for families and payers. Wellcare is trusted and recognized for quality doctors, simple and logical workflow, and above all whole-hearted, dedicated services.
Our key revenue drivers are consultation fees shared with doctors and wellness subscriptions. We are in the stage of scaling up operations and magnifying our impacts to wider communities and therefore want to collaborate with strategic investors, business partners, and key healthcare stakeholders.
Looking for: Users and feedback.
