No clue how many of you follow Spencer’s STO channel on YT (CasualSAB) but if you don’t you should.

PC players already have’m and consoles will get them for ONE CHARACTER ONLY on their accounts starting October 22nd. Combined with the October 20th 60th Anniversary content and stuff there will a lot of things to do and stuff to grab this coming week ….

So glad I got that account unlocked years ago (I'm on Xbox too). I kind of think it's insane that this is a single character claim when there's no other way to buy this shield in the game.... It's not like Cryptic would be losing money by making account unlock

Could not agree more. Plus, I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but Spencer also keeps the CM in check, by choice or design, and makes them do his job better by correcting the CM when necessary and more or less reminding them to be a professional and keep their commentary to a minimum and just serve the Community. He’s quietly called them out a couple of times now - and it’s working.

CasualSAB is extremely critical of anything that doesn't increase DPS. He also dismisses anything he doesn't like. He's not exactly a net positive.

My respect, Vice-Admiral_Louis as you bring up an excellent argument here.

Please allow me to retort?

I find the gentleman in question actually surprisingly balanced - even when, as you say, he ‘criticizes’ things he doesn’t like. I’ve never found that: I’ve found him saying qualifying statements every single time such as ‘this isn’t for me and it’s my opinion only, but for those of you who want more XYZ at the expense of less DPS, then this may be a good trade-off for your own strategy.’

I’m heavily hyperbolizing what Spencer actually says - but that is the way I hear it from him. Every single time. That’s extremely fair, objective and welcome which is why I watch his channel over everyone else’s.

Even when he’s completely in disagreement with STO on something he always qualifies his thoughts with ‘this is how feel, you don’t have to.’

I love the guy for that balance. I do, in fact, give him credit for making the current ex and current CM more accountable and objective with his own posts - something I think many of us came to think as a lost cause.

But … I understand your point clearly. He definitely has his likes and dislikes and not all of us have to agree with either of them …

But he does provide us all with both sides of the plasma blaster. That makes him so extremely valuable, in my opinion, to helping us along in our own adventures.

I've interacted with him in game. He is extremely egotistical and thinks that his way is the only way for doing endgame style content.
