Discussion I just finished the game

Hi guys,

Im a 34 year old dad, salary man. I have played games since i was a kid, past couple of years there were some great games i wont lie.. but this

This was an experience.
The atmosphere, the music, the whole melancholy, the neons… i felt i was a cat. These details, so polished game.

Not a single word in English has been spoken in this game and still you can feel so much.

Just wanted to share my two cents.
This was a masterpiece.

Anything similar for recommendations?

Thank you and god bless you all 👏

I don't know any games that have you play as a cat but firewatch has a unique vibe too

It really is a whole experience. The moment I realized I could stick my head in a paper bag, the world changed. 😁

Little kitty big city has the same cat flow movements gameplay, but the vibe is quite the opposite. It's plain day, a bustling city, but it's quite cozy as well.

Edit: you can enter cardboard boxes as well and hunt pigeons (you release them later) 😸

Music was 10/10. Such a perfect fit for the game.

Nothing - NOTHING - is the same as Stray. Nothing ever will be.

BUT... you might like Little Nightmares (I, II, and III). Maybe. You may also like Red Dead Redemption (1 and 2). Maybe.

Oh... and Far: Lone Sails and Far: Changing Tides. Beautiful little games. No dialog.

But... there will never be anything like Stray.

Even Little Kitty Big City isn't really very like Stray. Oh, it's a good game to play, but it's not Stray.

There's no game quite like it which is probably why it's such a masterpiece. It's not the same but if you liked the environment you may enjoy Cyberpunk(DLC very good too), I had a blast with that. But yea Stray is in its own amazing category.

Chill vibe with a no rush game play is Sable; its more about exploring.

I enjoyed that game so much that I went back to play again. The second time around I knew what I was doing and just wanted to go around dropping stuff off rooftops, like a real cat. The only draw back in the game was the fact that you couldn't hunt for food, or eat anything.

Lost Ember. C'est différent, mais c'est un beau voyage.

Did you want an animal buddy game and own a playstation4/5? If so, TLG

I'm around your age and enjoyed the game so much. I return to it from time to time for the vibe

Totally different kind of game but somehow a similar vibe would be the two Ori games. I highly recommend them both as long as you don’t actively hate platformers. They both have that whimsy that Stray does, but in a pure fantasy setting instead of dystopian futurism.

Not too similar, but if you want a unique and linear adventure game with some casual puzzles and nice story, try Indika

Different game, but try life is strange for a unique role play game, or the little nightmare games. Greatstuff both of them.

not gonna lie at first i found the different language to be disturbing for some reason.
but by the end of the game, i was so immersed!

i seriously dont think anything can compare to stray!
