For anyone who has ever driven in the U.S., I’m asking this seriously. Could you imagine these being unleashed to the general public? The amount of deaths and property damage would be extreme. People here can’t even handle a four-way fucking stop sign or roundabout properly.

They can’t even get full autonomous driving perfected yet. I’m sure the safety rails on these would be as equally lackluster. Just what the average person wants, getting crushed to death while waiting in line for a bagel when one of these barrels through the storefront.

Is it cool from an engineering standpoint? Of course. Does it actually solve anything to make the current world a better or more efficient place? Fuck no. All that money being sunk into increasingly useless shit.

These things actually hit production I'm investing my entire portfolio in auto insurance companies because them premiums gonna skyrocket faster than the cars.

I’d cut out the middleman and go straight to coffin makers.

Calls on SCI then? (Largest cemetery and funeral provider in the US)

I kinda feel like the way things are going it is just a sensible choice.

Imagine getting your existing policies cancelled because you asked to insure one of these

Car: "oh no, collision imminent. I will enter launch mode now. I have 3 seconds to decide whether to land on the day care center on the left or lodge myself in the wall of the apartment building on my right."

Of course, you're not going to hear any of that because your neck was broken from being vertically launched off the ground at a few Gs with no warning.

Particularly because seatbelt straps were an advanced subscription feature still in beta testing…4 years after the initial release of the flying death car.

The website literally says "Not approved for public road use"

This is a circus show. The act of selling it only means that other rich people will also be able to host circus shows featuring it.
