What About Jerry Ford?

Perhaps because President Ford was never hit.

But he was a target on two separate occasions by two women in September 1975, in California. The first was a Manson cult member, the second an FBI informant turned left-wing activist.

Literally none of them were.

John Wilkes Booth was a Know Nothing and Confederate, but never a Democrat.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a Communist, not a Democrat.

Sirhan Sirhan isn't even American. He's not a supporter of any US political party.

James Earl Ray didn't support either major party, and the only time he is known to have been involved in politics was supporting the independent campaign of Segregationist George Wallace, and only in the period where Wallace split from the Democratic Party to run on the American Independent Party ticket.

John Hinckley jr is a neo-Nazi (and son of a major GOP donor) who shot Reagan because of his insane delusions not politics.

Thomas Matthew Crooks was a Republican.

Tyler Robinson is unaffiliated, and didn't have any history of supporting any political party. The closest he came was wearing a pro-Trump Halloween costume in 2017.

Also, IIRC John Hinkley Jr had previously stalked Jimmy Carter, before making his attempt at Reagan. He very likely would've attacked Carter to begin with, had the opportunity arisen.
