Frage / Advice People who went through the naturalization process (citizenship) in Stuttgart, how did you submit your documents?
Did you send them by post, or did you go there and put them in their mailbox? (Briefkasten)
They only say, “Ihre Einbürgerungsanträge reichen Sie bitte ausschließlich postalisch bei uns ein.”
But how exactly should I send the documents? I'm sending several documents, including an original document (my Einbürgerungstest certificate), because they specifically asked for the original.
I'm just worried about sending original documents by post. How did you do it?

I only submitted my documents a couple of months ago but because I wanted to be extremely, super sure that they wouldn’t get lost I put them myself in the Briefkaste. You could send them with tracking though.

Yes, that's why I'm not sure exactly what to do. Because I can put in the Briefkasten, it's better so I know it was there. But I thought maybe jt would be good to track? I don't know.
Did you put in the number 13 or number 9-13? They says number 9 in their website and in another document they says number 9-13. I'm confused.
And did you already receive the letter from them that they received your documents? When did you apply?

If you are lowkey a control freak like me then I recommend putting them yourself there haha, that way you also wont be left wondering if they have arrived already. I think I went to the building with the number 9, they have like 2 Briefkasten (they are labeled) and you can put your documents in any of them. And yess I also got a letter 2 weeks after submitting them letting me know they received the documents. I also had to call them about something and the person on the phone was really nice. It gave me some peace of mind that I can easily contact them in case of any questions.

Okay. Thank you! I'm glad.
Did you need to ask a security or someone which Briefkasten would be or it's very clear which Briefkasten is for them?
Because I took a look in the Google maps and it seemed so small and confusing.

Another question: they told me they want the photo itself and not the qr code digital as Another Büro. Did you send the photo already cut ? Because DM told me sometimes Büro doesn't like when people cut it first before sending because sometimes the measures are wrong.

No idea if I did it right but I sent the photo already cut - I guess if it had been somehow wrong they would have let me know in the letter they sent me

I put my documents in Juni and got Email in Feb that they recived it and process is starting. It takes time, leave your documents and wait, dont overthink it.

Wow. I don't know why is that. Some of people they confirm like after 2 weeks that they reveive and like yours was after 7 months?

When I applied for citizenship I put my documents in the Briefkasten outside the Amt. I also kinda panicked about it thinking ‘What if it’s the wrong one??’ but as others said, you can see the labels on the Briefkasten. I got a letter confirming the receipt of my documents within a week. Good luck on becoming a citizen!!

Yes it also doesn't help that they sometimes write number 9 and sometimes number 9-13. So i wasn't sure and I was afraid to not know if the Briefkasten is correct.
How much did you wait in general? Did you already received yours urkunde ?

I have a friend in the city who used Gerichtsvollzieher. very expensive but he got copies certified beforehand and then sent via this court service as the person makes a copy and keeps a record of the contents delivered. also records exact person and time of delivery. you are provided certificate of delivery.
also this is the most formal way to do this.
ps. i have done the same in my current city of dresden.
