Remote start

I’m wondering what it costs to have the dealer install the remote start module. Internet says between 250-400. Has anyone had it installed on a new forester? We don’t want to pay for the subscription so looking into adding the remote start via the fob. Thanks. (Yes I’m aware of the distance limitations via the fob vs the app)

H001SSL500 for the hybrids, H001SSL000 for push-button, H001SSL100 for turn-key. Figure somewhere around 2 hours labor for install and programming. (Most dealers have a lower labor rate for accessory installs.) So, out the door I think you'll find it's more like $700ish.

I paid $500 about 5 years ago. So anywhere around that would probably be going rate.
