Supergirl #18

THE HEIR OF EL! After the battles in Kandor and El Caldero, Supergirl has now achieved a reputation as the Heir of the House of El. Granted access to a Fortress all her own, she and the Super Force are excited to move in and explore their new home base. But for weeks Supergirl’s been hearing a mysterious voice calling out to her, and that being is now ready to make itself known.

I find it interesting that Kara and the Super-Force had to get used to the Fortress of Solidarity and spend time with each other, with Thundergirl wanting to learn who she is (since she spent the past few issues not doing anything) and Kara officially meeting Matrix before they encountered Reactron (who was last seen pre-Crisis and pre-Flashpoint before he removed Kara’s powers using Goldman Kryptonite). Overall, this comic is okay.

Clark would go as Frankenstein's monster, then keep breaking character to reassure every little kid who gets scared

For Action Comics, I like that we get to see the updated origins of Lex Luthor while we get to see Clark tell us his history growing up in Smallville. This includes Lex being intellectually gifted and loving his mother Leticia and hating his father Lionel before Lex and his mother purposely burned down the house so that they can have a fresh start when Lex was three years old in pre-Crisis Earth-One’s 1932 (since Lex was born on September 28, 1939) and the Kents learning about Clark’s powers and celebrating his fifth birthday in pre-Crisis Earth-One’s 1936 (since Clark arrived on Earth on June 18, 1931). Overall, this comic is great!
