I hate it when I forget my “why.” I’ll set it down while un-jamming the copier for the 4th or 5th time and just walk off without it.

Next thing I know, I hear a coworker using my childhood history of teacher-approval-seeking and peer tutoring to justify their life choices.

I accidentally put mine down on the "free stuff" table in the staff room while running to the washroom. Maybe they forgot theirs too. I hope they find it helpful.

I got a new why though. It's "find a new job at my age? In this economy?" So far it's working ok.

I was talking to a friend who works in tech about our respective stupid workplace jargon. When I told him about the “why” thing he looked at me like I was insane.

Last year my principal read something on my eval, said "I don't even remember why I wrote that." Backspaced and replaced it with who knows what, then bumped up my score.

This was the last day of school.
