If people are seeing that and still paying, they are just idiots.

Anyone who still gives money to Tesla at all, let alone for a pre-order, is a moron and an asshole who shouldn’t be trusted with money in the first place

At first I was thinking “there are people who can drop $200-$500 on a vaporware deposit and it doesn’t phase them”, then I looked up what a deposit on a roadster cost… Jesus man, you’re not wrong. 50k deposit for the base model, and some dummies are dropping 250k for a car that’s never coming.

Craziest part is, they’ve been taking those $50k deposits since 2017 when they first announced the 2nd gen Roadster and still haven’t delivered jack shit. It blows my mind that Tesla is still trustworthy in anyone’s eyes

So it's like a Kickstarter that never materializes. Certainly more than a few stories of those--but not $50K worth!

When you put it like that it's kind of no wonder people are investing in TSLA. A business that can make money out of nothing? That's an appealing investment. At least until it's time to pay the piper.

If you really wanted a roadster designed by Hans that you can actually buy right now, there's always the Saturn Sky Red Line or Pontiac Solstice GXP and they'll be a fraction of the reserve price of the Tesla. Hell, you could even buy a Mallett version of either and still be way under $50k.

Well, that only narrows it down to about 2/3 of humanity at this point.... more people than any marketing department could ever wish for.

I can't begin to understand why Tesla is so special when there are alternative EV supercars

$208K is less than the Tesla deposit!

Already saw someone boast on linked in making a $500k wired deposit on the invite only model. Just imagine having that much money to make a deposit for something you have no idea when or if will arrive

So like when normal people drop 50$ on some random Kickstarter project they think looks cool and hope to be pleasant surprised when it starts shipping?

Yeah. But with more zeros

Elon Musk is a Nazi.

If anyone buys a car from his company, you deserve everything you get, and I will never have one iota of sympathy for you; in fact, I wish you nothing but misery and suffering, for empowering somebody who inflicts those things on so many.

For this reason alone I don’t know why people are giving money to Tesla.

I would never have guessed there were that many dopes with money.

This is literally on every pre-order agreement.

You could just put a deposit down with the intention of suing in a few years when they don’t deliver. Could make 10x
