Because you’re buying parking from the school, which does not discount. The four dollar tickets are from season ticket holders.

But it’s also high on the after market. I was looking at the Rutgers game and found parking in the hundreds with tickets under $10.

Same thing happens with basketball. I haven’t gone to a game in 2 years because of parking.

I can’t walk that far. And don’t want to anyway. UM parking is a mess. The lots are half empty for basketball but they still overprice them. You can’t even buy an ADA parking pass in advance. I contacted them last year and they told me I had to take my chances with terrapin trail garage which may or may not have any left. They are killing their own product by making it hard to get to the games unless you are a big donor. I have several friends who have e given up on Maryland sports (other than women’s Bb or softball) because of parking n

So don't go, don't give the program any more $$ until they fire Locksley.

What’s the alternative? You can walk from off campus but it’s a hassle.

Depending where you’re coming from you could park for free at Greenbelt metro, get off 1 stop later at College Park, then take the free shuttle bus to the stadium and back.

Supply and demand…just like everything

Its probably the opposite. They know game ticket sales are low, so they try to make up the loss with higher parking prices. That, or the people who price the parking tickets aren't sports fans and have no clue that the team sucks and aren't keeping up with what's going on.

No, there are more game tickets than parking spots.

If nobody is going into the games why are they parking there?
