Gameplay / Screenshots Found this thing at an antique store
I was exploring the top floor of an antique store in Bakersfield, and I found this thing. I couldn’t afford it because it was like $200, but it was a fun sight.

I wouldn't consider it a good price but for what it's selling I guess. I'm not personally going to go blow 200 bucks on something that costs more than most of my military surplus

Stuff that military's have too much of so they sell it to the civilian market for people to buy. That can be anything from uniforms to equipment to literal armored vehicles. I buy mostly camo and equipment

There’s stores sprinkled about the US that sell it and knock off similar stuff. Usually can’t compete for retail space well but I bet there’s still some away from cities.
Last time I went in one the guy told me as I was walking out that the knife I just bought was illegal so heads up.

In Texas, Tennessee, and Ohio I'm pretty sure you can legally carry a sword. In other states uou cannot, but I think you can own them.

Essentially almost anything the Army have a surplus (excess) of so they sell it at army surplus stores. Can be weapons and ammunition, uniforms and some armoured vehicles (mainly wheeled vehicles and not tanks and such)

That's cool. Unfortunately aside from, like, pouches and that jazz, I wouldn't be interested in most of that stuff. All the guns I'd like to own are really old and probably rare.
(I am also not quite at the age where it is legal to own firearms, as I am merely 16.)

It came with a code to give you a hat called the Engineer's Cap, it's probably not redeemable anymore because of how old it is and you can just buy it on the Steam market for like two cents

Most TF2 DLC/Item codes surprisingly still work, even the old ass merch ones. I see people still redeeming codes for the grandmaster and spy crab plush.

See what's funny is, I actually had the heavy from this set on my shelf for years, someone got it for me back in high school.
Just sold it and a bunch of other odds and ends at a card/collectibles shop in my area, they gave me $140 for the heavy, said it was probably worth about 250.
Couple folks on Ebay have some listed for around there, and I was happier with the $140 now

Are these really worth this much?
I have an unopened BLU demo and RED engie that I got as gifts when these were new. I never opened them, redeemed the code or anything. They just sit on my shelf.

I just sold one (Red Heavy, sealed in box) to a collectibles shop for $140. Dude said they go for about $250
Box wasn't in perfect shape and he gave me a decent value for a pile of crap Funkos, so I could've probably put it up on ebay for $50 more but this also probably saved 2+ hours of my time

You get to main engineer. Nobody tells you this but you are required to buy one of these to be an engineer main. Otherwise gabe unleashes a noxious gas into your home that explicitly makes you not want to play engineer.

I kinda hate how expensive these have become. Especially for the figures actual Quality. Just the joints can break at anytime when posing them and I don't get why sniper's figure doesn't have his glasses.

The NECA TF2 line made me so sad. I was buying the BLU variants and when they got to Spy and Engineer the RED releases had terrible paint apps and the BLU versions never appeared.
They did eventually drop the BLU ones four years later, but by that point I wasn't really following the line. And then the last three figures dropped as RED only, so I still couldn't finish the team. What a bummer.
