I think harassers should be banned from Reddit. Yesterday’s post about Kaitlyn made me realize that most of the users harassing BN people on other platforms are in this sub. And they’re obviously harassing others too. We need to collectively do more about it.

This is an interesting comment.

It’s wild that we’re letting harassers/trolls ruin social media for the rest of us. Harassers are egging each other on so decent people need to do more imo. We can at least downvote, report, and tell them to stop.

If you’re writing paragraph after paragraph about how Kaitlyn needs to log off, maybe take your own advice and block her. Hate watching her every move, getting outraged over everything she does, and constantly posting about her just gives her more attention while giving you a temporary dopamine hit. Wouldn’t it be easier to move on and spend your time and energy on people you actually like?
And honestly, I wonder if some of you get so triggered by influencers calling out their haters because you’re afraid you might be next. I can’t imagine being genuinely upset about someone calling out hateful commenters unless you’re worried about your own online behavior 😉

My UO, which I’m convinced is true, is that there’s at least a 90% overlap of this sub and those who are directly DM’ing Kaitlyn hate.

I like how Kaitlyn speaks her mind. Her haters certainly do. Why should she have to sit back and suck it all up without saying anything?

My UO's for this week:
1) I don't want to watch Maria on any upcoming shows.
2) Kelsey fans/publicists/bots are overdoing it.
3) If Chris Harrison wants to make a "more wholesome" Bachelor type show so be it.
4) The majority of people in this sub are really mean and closeminded to anyone who has a different opinion, sometimes to the point of bigotry.

I mean, for better or worse, I think we’ve proved that both Kelsey and Kaitlyn have people who care about them to an unhealthy degree on here.

Kelsey gets an overwhelmingly positive, one sided, and PR/bot like response in this sub, it’s unlike responses to anyone else in BN. I agree that it has all the hallmarks of a paid PR campaign.
Kaitlyn gets an overwhelming negative and hateful response in this sub. Clearly she and her publicists aren’t behind that, it’s the opposite of what you’d get from a paid PR campaign.

u/DoubleBooble 2d ago
I will repeat, Kaitlyn is accused of having publicists talk shit about her. Can you imagine Kelsey hiring bots to criticize her? Sorry, but that is hilarious to even contemplate.

Kaitlyn should call out more trolls
11
u/Ok_Moose1334 2d ago
Right? It seems to have been effective. The person who was harrasing her apologized, acknowledged she was wrong, and reflected on how her behavior contradicted her life experiences and how she behaves otherwise. To top it off, many of Kaitlyn’s followers replied to her with lovely, supportive comments. It was surprisingly heartwarming.
Many of these harassers/trolls are like dogs barking behind a fence. Open the gate and they stop. They would never say the things they comment online to people in real life.

For as much as yall love to hate on Kaitlyn and wish she'd go away. NO ONE gets people talking more on this sub than she does. This is the most popping UO thread we've had in months.

I’m sorry but I can’t take this seriously. The same handful of users are in every post about Kaitlyn complaining about her. Clearly, even her haters care about her and what she does. Honestly they seem addicted to her content.
A lot of people from this show annoy me, and therefore I don’t follow them or regularly post about them on Reddit.

Kaitlyn has a huge following of fans and viewers/listeners to her Off the Vine podcast. It's odd that you think nobody is interested in her.

I think the point that was being made is that NEGATIVE comments about Kaitlyn were being said to be bots and publicists. Which you have to admit is slightly insane.

People aren’t paying for negative PR lol. Some people just don’t like Taylor for obvious reasons. Her team has gone to great lengths to quash negativity, including burying reports and articles on her jet emissions and targeting individual people who post about them with threats and legal action. That’s not speculation, it’s documented fact.
Her powerful PR team is why we don’t see more negativity about her, we primarily hear about her so called “haters” in her music because she’s cultivated a juvenile victim mentality that isn’t supported by reality. Look at social media posts about her- the comments are overwhelmingly similar cult like positive replies that a powerful PR machine can buy. In addition to topping the list of celebrity polluters, she’s gotten away with dating Matt Healy and marrying Travis Kelce, all of which runs counter to the values she claims to stand for. Case in point, this week Travis pointedly liked Shane Gillis’ misogynistic SNL monologue on Instagram. He didn’t even like Dakota & Taylor’s monologue lol. He and Taylor get away with this stuff because of Taylor’s powerful PR team.

All press is good press is a cliche that means you try to make the best out of bad press as it’s still exposure. It doesn’t mean you pay for bad press lol. And it’s not literal, obviously there is press that you can’t make the best out of. See Harvey Weinstein, Blake Lively, the Cornell 7, etc etc etc.
You seem very conspiracy theory minded. Even famous people can’t control everything.

Can you guys stop lying to yourselves? Why would Kaitlyn’s team post on a sub that hates her and dead(as you said), thinking it’s somehow going to help promote her live show that was only announced last week? You know exactly who’s posting her stuff. It’s not that hard to look through the users’ profiles and figure it out. It’s her haters, so please stop pushing this narrative that it’s her team when it literally makes no sense
If it were her team, they’d be promoting her live show, not posting things that fuel hate. You’re the only one who’s even mentioned the show here. I haven’t seen a single post/comment about it on this sub.

Is this supposed to be some 4D chess? I wouldn’t have even known about KB doing some show in nyc if it weren’t for your comments about it, lmao

Hannah Brown is not a standout look-wise, and never was.

u/Valuable-Half-3869 2d ago
And yes, focus on dissecting Hannah Brown’s look instead of all her other issues lol women will never be free 😭
-1
u/uncensoredsaints She walked in vagina first 2d ago
I agree that her looks are not the point at all but people did use that she’s “beautiful” as an excuse for her racism and general diva behavior.
2
u/Valuable-Half-3869 2d ago
So what? Lmao that’s not what the user is describing at all. If that’s their point, they should say “someone’s being beautiful is not an excuse for racism” lol

Hannah, like many beautiful women's looks kind of grow on you over time.
When we first met her on Colton's season I thought she was pretty but not a stand out in Bachelor terms. When I see her now I see that she is really very beautiful.
Conversely other women are striking from when you first see them. I'd say Jenn is that way for me. Mesmerizing looks.
And of course everyone has different taste so what might be beautiful to me might not be to others and vice versa.
For example there were two women that were hailed as gorgeous during their seasons that I didn't see at all: Ariel (Zach season) and Maria (Joey's).
I kept looking at them during their season and thinking "I don't see it."Thank goodness we all see beauty differently.

Definitely unpopular. As is critiquing women’s appearances in general. Pretty standard misogyny.

u/tayshiapauljones 2d ago
I mean, you Hannah-fans spent the entire season body-shaming other contestants and Gigi Hadid and still hate Tate for diffuse reasons you can’t specify. You forgive her racism and even like her more for it. I didn’t call her ugly, which she isn’t of course, I just said she’s a normal woman and not the untouchable goddess who should get away with every and anything.

u/littlewoolhat ✨lobotomy goals✨ 1d ago
You literally insulted her looks, like what are you saying? You didn't use the word 'ugly', but saying she's 'not a standout' carries the implication that you find her either average or unattractive. You can hold your hater opinion, that's totally cool, just own it!
-4
u/tayshiapauljones 1d ago
Saying that someone isn’t as hot as others think isn’t an insult in my opinion. She’s average and that’s okay. This sub has been favoring as the “hottest ever” for a long time and I’m just simply saying she looks like any girl of the street, which isn’t necessarily an insult
3
u/littlewoolhat ✨lobotomy goals✨ 1d ago
Okay then your opinion is out of sync with reality. Saying someone looks bad is literally the most basic insult in the world. Just own being a hater it's fine!!

u/Ok_Moose1334 2d ago edited 2d ago
What are you even talking about. I’m not a “Hannah fan,” I’ve never body shamed anyone, I’ve never made comments about Gigi Hadid or even given her any thought, I don’t hate Tate, and I don’t forgive racism.
I simply called you out on your comment. Commenting negatively on a stranger’s appearance is weird and your comment reeks of misogyny. And now you’re deflecting.
8
u/Valuable-Half-3869 2d ago
It’s funny cause I have seen this user call other women’s appearance plain other than Hannah too, but instead of dealing with their own internal misogyny, they make a up a fake reality where you are the one body shaming people lol when the only one on this thread dissecting women’s look is her
2
u/Ok_Moose1334 2d ago
Very transparent and hypocritical. The idea that I or anyone is spending their time in a bachelor sub body shaming Gigi, a literal supermodel, is so silly. I don’t think of people in that way regardless, but if I did I’d keep it to myself.
-2
u/Valuable-Half-3869 2d ago
Spending so much time dissecting other’s woman looks instead of focusing on their actual actions such as racism smh

u/NeedMyCaffeine Excuse you what? 2d ago
I find it bizarre that some folks seem to dislike Tate because they're still longing for Tannah, a couple who only existed in the imagination of fans. Tyler was never seriously interested in Hannah and the two of them are completely incompatible.
