It sounds like fiction, but it happens every day

The truth is, we people (men/women) can be so naive when it comes to love. Today I saw this scene, and my first thought was, “Of course, she’s cheating on her fiancé with you, but you can trust her"; And yeah, from outside is easy to spot, but when we are playing the game, we cannot believe it and get shocked by it.

The irony is palpable.

Had a dream about a secret extra office episode

It was called "Artic" and I'm pretty sure Jim jumped off a helicopter and Michael married Erin. The episode ended and I found myself in front of Michael so I started crashing out at him for marrying a 7 year and he started saying some poetry and then I died

Vision quest office Easter egg

James Spader (Robert California) plays Ultron in the MCU and when discussing where Vision should go, he says “Anywhere but Florida.” Made me chuckle

Who did juggling better -

Jk but seriously, why was Deangelo so awful? I just did not like him at ALL. But nothing came off as extremely unlikeable about him. I just cant put my finger on it.

I would rather have The Farm than The Paper

Post image

Personally I think I would have enjoyed this show more than I enjoyed The Paper. The characters to me seemed like they would be more colorful, it would have been great to have The Office cast members as cameos, and the world was so attached to Dwight already it would have been nice to follow him beyond his wedding.

Unpopular opinion?

UPDATE: I might just like farms

Scott Paper was founded in 1879 in Philadelphia by brothers E. Irvin Scott and Clarence Scott, and is often credited as being the first to market toilet paper sold on a roll.

Just an appreciation post for Phylis for pulling together an awesome going away party in probably less than 6 hours.

This episode starts with Michael asking Phylis and Angela what’s been arranged, “a modest party with a 2 photo slideshow”

Phylis is given responsibility and without skipping a beat delivers food. Bouncy castle, ferris wheel, fireworks and live music. All organised and pulled together in less than a work day.

Either that or Bob Vance, Vance refrigeration is the mastermind!

Am I the only one who finds Pam’s reaction to Jim’s teapot letter a little surprising?

I’m a HUGE fan of The Office. I’ve watched the entire series probably 10 times, and there’s one thing I’ve always wondered about.

Remember in Season 2, when Jim gives Pam the teapot for Christmas with a personal letter inside, but then takes the letter back before she can read it?

Fast forward to Season 9, when Pam starts doubting whether she’s enough for Jim. He gives her the DVD with all their moments together, along with the original letter from the teapot. She reads it and immediately breaks down in tears.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a beautiful scene, but I’ve always wondered: what could Jim have possibly written in that letter that would make Pam THAT emotional after all those years?

At that point, they’ve been together for years, they’re married, they have two kids, and they know each other inside out. Pam obviously knows Jim was deeply in love with her back when she was engaged to Roy. I mean, even back then, it was pretty obvious, and after everything they’ve been through together, there’s no way she doesn’t know how he felt.

So what could a letter written by Jim in Season 2 possibly reveal to her in Season 9 that she doesn’t already know?

And more importantly, Pam’s insecurity in Season 9 isn’t about whether Jim loved her back then. It’s about whether she’s still enough for him now.

I understand the nostalgia and the symbolism behind the letter, and I love the scene. But I’ve always found her reaction a little disproportionate considering how much history they already have together.

Am I overthinking this? 😂 I’m genuinely curious how other fans interpret that moment.

Brian Baumgartner fails in bid to become University of St Andrews Rector

So, for US-based people, the Rector of a Scottish University is a non-executive, ceremonial role and usually goes to public figures - often left-leaning politicians* and activists.
Having gone to a Scottish University myself, I am actually kind of glad for this outcome.

Dr Arthur Bernhoff is a graduate of St Andrews, lives locally and is a part-time researcher at the University. Brian Baumgartner is a guy who went to St Andrews to play golf once.

He did speak of his candidacy that he was following in a tradition of comedians having taken the role - including John Cleese, Alan Coren and Tim Brooke-Taylor (though the odds of him having heard of the latter two are slim) but that kind of died out in the 1980s.

* I mean left-leaning by Scottish standards which is somewhat different from the US political landscape. That said St Andrews bucked the trend when they elected Andrew Neil - the political journalist who famously argued with Ben Shapiro on-air with Shapiro calling him "left-wing" despite Neil's famously Thatcherite views.
