Question does anyone know how to find all accounts linked to my email address for free?
i’ve been going through a bit of a rough patch lately, and one thing i’ve really wanted to do is get more control over my online presence. i started thinking about how much personal information i’ve probably left scattered across the internet over the years. i’d honestly like to remove as much of my personal information as possible. i wanted something more useful than just checking for data breaches, so i’ve been looking into people search tools and came across findsio. it seems like a useful starting point for looking up publicly available information associated with an email. obviously, i know there’s no magic button that’ll find literally every account you’ve ever created, but i’d love to make the whole process less tedious. has anyone used apps for this kind of digital footprint cleanup? what other methods would you recommend for finding old accounts and getting rid of data you no longer want online? thx

A good starting point is your password manager.
There are also apps that check your inbox and give you a list of companies that have your info - don’t think there’s any free ones for data removals though.
I used an app like this (I built it) to scrub my inbox, and yes, it is a lot quicker than manually going through each email.

All these answers are from people who are absolutely clueless. The actual universal process is to download the whole mailbox as mbox (e.g.: using Thunderbird's ImportExportTools NG extention) or maildir or whatever nonbinary format you can. Then you extract with grep all the Delivered-To and Envelope-To fields with their values and eliminate repetitions with uniq. You will end up with a complete list of addresses that were used to reach your mailbox, 1 per line.

If it's Gmail you can go into your account and find it. Don't know off the top of my head maybe try r/degoogle
Don't forget to check if you have FB and used that to 'log in'
Malwarebytes has something... Maybe just checks for breaches of your info?

Gmail does not offer a way to find all the 3rd party accounts you have given your email address to.

Using "Sign in with Google" vs using your Gmail address as a username are two very different things.

A good place to start is your spam folder. If you've ever signed up for anything they are probably sending you spam.

I had this same issue after an old account was breached and I wanted close out old account. I made a tool call Quitlist. It might be helpful to you as well.

Enter your email into justdeleteme.xyz and it should spit out a list of every site you’ve used that email address for.

There's no free one-stop tool that pulls up every account, it's all manual legwork. Most people search sites just scrape public records and data broker dumps, so you'll get a lot of noise and outdated info. Start by searching your email in the usual spots like haveibeenpwned, then check old password manager exports if you've got them, and go through your inbox for "welcome" or "verify" emails from years ago.
