I like that he speaks slow so everyone can get caught up.

It’s an effective speaking strategy. A very brief pause before delivering the point. Let’s the listener’s brain catch up and go into anticipation of the next words. Lends gravitas and credence to those words and adds psychological impact to the delivery. Just very well done.

45% of the country’s voters - “Hell yeah! Mike Collins owned him! Republicans are best for Georjuh!”
Edit: added the word voters

Just to help you:
About 26% of eligible potential voters are not registered to vote.
The electorate identifies itself as:
Democrat: 29%
Republican: 28%The rest are independent.
It is likely that less than 20% of this country are Trump supporters.

60% of the country are either Trump supporters or fine with the possibility of him being President.
This was shown in both 2016 and 2024.

The horse left the barn a long time ago.
At last, we’re in the age where the natives learn that at least 30% of the US population is a mark and 30% don’t care.
The rest of the world has known for an age.

1/3 of the American electorate doesn't bother to vote. So 1/3 voted for him and 1/3 didn't care enough to prevent him from becoming president.
Not so fun fact, if the eligible non-votors were a political party, they would have won most of the recent presidential elections.
I'm an American and I'm in the 1/3 that votes against him but facts are facts whether you like them or not

No he isn't? Trump lost the popular vote the first time, and only got 30% of eligible voters votes the second time.

A good point, however:
“According to Gallup polling data, 15% of all U.S. adults (or about one-third of the 45% who identify as political independents) lean toward the Republican Party.”
Also it’s an even 27 to 27 according to this for the major parties.
27 + 15 = 42%. Close enough. I did clarify my comment to rule out non-voters. If you think these right leaning I’s will swing, nearly every one I’ve met in person (which as I live in SC has been a fair amount) has generally said the Republican Party is not far-right or conservative enough.

If they said that then are they really “right leaning I’s“? I consider an independent to be someone who votes for candidates of both parties because they are voting only on issues with no regard to party. Like, they might vote for a democratic representative because he says he wants to legalize marijuana but vote for a republican governor because she’s a 2A supporter. And vice versa.

Seeing a lot of Senate, House, and gubernatorial candidates who really understood the assignment and brought the demeanor appropriate for the occasion.
Hoping for success for a million reasons, but especially so that the next changes in DNC leadership reflect the type of fire and progress that wins seats.

Jon Ossoff is doing a great job for someone who's about to lose 51-49 because the majority of his state is actually fine with pedophilia and racism.
•
u/Pmak09 53m ago
Prediction markets have Ossoff odds of winning at 95% likely. Am I missing something?
•
u/dova_bear 36m ago
Yes. Prediction markets are not scientific analysis. It's the opinion of degenerate gamblers. Actual polling averages shows Ossoff leading 52% to 43%. While that's good there's also the margin of error and turnout to account for.

Lets end this madness. I'm done with it all, and I can't imagine anybody who's a good person who wants it to continue.

It seems like every republican running for congress is getting absolutely trounced by their democratic opponents in debates this year. More than most. Its a shame that we didn't get to see a Talarico/Paxton debate. Im not from Texas, but I bet it would have been worth the watch.
