Will he kneel for it?

He does for daddy Putin when he unzips.
Not sure he would for a bbc though. His clan suit might get in the way on that one.

He thought BBC would just settle like everyone else has. He didn’t expect them to fight back 🤣

u/Deathturkey 1d ago
They apologised (wrongly in my opinion they did nothing wrong) and like the bully Trump is, he saw it as a sign of weakness and thought he’d found an easy victim that he could keep extorting.

Eh, I watched the moment and, in a black and white world, it came down on the side of wrong.
Put into the context of the rest of the BBC's work, it was a minor gaff and an apology should have ended it.

The BBC doesn't have a billion dollars to settle with, they have no choice but to fight like a cornered rat.

u/somethingbrite 2d ago
the BBC aren't the ones trying to avoid their day in court
-14
u/Ravenser_Odd 2d ago
I never said they were. I'm explaining why they chose to fight in the first place, rather than pay a fortune to Trump to settle the case, as ABC and CBS did.

A bit windy in that head of yours, eh?

You've obviously completely misunderstood what I said.

u/theenigmaticsnorlax 1d ago
Kinda feels like you misunderstand what you've said, actually.
1
u/Ravenser_Odd 1d ago
I'm genuinely curious now - what exactly do you think my comment meant? Maybe this is a case of Americans not understanding British English.
2
u/allwrecknocheck 1d ago
I heard you. I think "cornered rat" threw them off but some people don't stop and think it through before they take their simmering rage out on the keyboard.
1
u/Ravenser_Odd 1d ago
I think that's it. In British English, in this context, it means you've made the mistake of backing someone into a corner because now they'll get down and dirty, ready to fight you tooth and claw.
Explains why it went up before it went down - British English speakers probably being outnumbered by American English speakers.

Trump is a gutless coward that will do about anything to keep his ass out of jail.
What a mistake in letting him near civilization.

Trump's a pussy. The BBC just bitched him.

Hey that's not nice. Pussies are soft and warm and delicious and they make a lot of people very happy! Come on now, be best.

Maybe he should take time out of holding rallies for states that have nothing to do with him and handle his business especially since he brought on this lawsuit in the first place.

u/MjolnirPants 2d ago
Nah, he'll lay down, bend over and spread 'em for it, but he absolutely will not sit for it.

Trump is proof we won’t ever have time travel in our lifetimes
1
u/torville 2d ago
Why limit it to "our lifetimes"? Someone might invent time travel in 100 years; they could (in certain theories) do something about it.
(I'm of the opinion that, if time travel were possible, you couldn't change your own timeline, but instead someone else's or create a new one).
Also, wouldn't Hitler be more of an obvious test case?

u/chickenthinkseggwas 1d ago
Hitler didn't have nukes to play with. Also, I mean, say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude. At least it's an ethos.

How will they force him to testify? We can't even get him to follow U.S. judges' orders.
2
u/BeTheBall- 1d ago
If he can make a Nascar race, a basketball game, or a college football game, play a few rounds of golf per week, nap during meetings, he has the time to testify for a couple hours.

There is no way a judge is going to order a sitting President to testify in a civil suit.
As much as I loathe that man I'm not sure this a bad thing. The office matters and will matter even more when we have a real President. This sounds like an awful precedent. There wouldn't be anything to prevent the President, any President, from being buried in lawsuits.
Let's go right to felonies and "enemy of the state" goodness. He can't give himself immunity in perpetuity and New York is gunning for him. We want our ounce of blood -- metaphorically, of course.
8
u/Flamebrush 1d ago
This was a suit he brought. The precedent is fine - the president that starts it ought to finish it. As it stands, he started it because he wanted a settlement. BBC is calling his bluff and now he wants out.

u/Deadman1000th 2d ago
Wait, BBC wasn't the media one? Why mr.pedophile n.1 (still alive) need to do a deposition?
0
u/Drudgework 2d ago
Strangely enough it doesn’t have anything to do with Mr. British pedophile #1 (deceased) Jimmy Saville.

u/WULTKB90 2d ago
He is a little man, at least given how he acts so I don't doubt he could stand and blow a BBC.

No, he’s bringing the damn case. If he doesn’t want to participate in a lawsuit he is bringing it can, and should, be dismissed with prejudice.

I would love more than almost anything in this world to see donald trump fucked by the BBC.
